The blue dye would definitely work but it’s deff the color + flavor that’s the disgust factor. I’m like 60% positive that some fresh rosemary and lemon pepper seasonings in a marinade might make this dish edible.

Is that buttermilk you have in your marinade?

Nightwing Marinade:

2/3 cup lemon juice

1/3 cup olive oil

1 blue raspberry kool aid packet

Eyeballed lemon pepper and salt

4 sprigs of rosemary finely chopped

Mix/shake well.

Put in fridge and let sit for 1 hour

Set oven to 375°F for ~1 hour or until 160°F internal.

Plate and serve.

It is complete. The marinade separating was gross as hell and holy shit it stayed so blue. I cooked it at a low temp to try to keep the blue color and it looked Not Cooked. Everything temped over 170°F though I promise.

I was genuinely so scared to eat this. Not in the quirky girl way. Actual fear. The smell out of the oven was sickeningly sweet for the last 10 minutes and it made me very scared that it was going to be inedible. Made some rice with bone broth and blue food dye to match and steamed some broccoli. This may be an abomination of a meal but at least its well balanced.

First impressions: cirtusy and echos of sweet flavor. No blue raspberry flavor but instead a chemical taste I have no way to describe besides the “artificial” part of the artificial flavor as a stand-alone note. (First pic)

Second impressions: it’s not inedible, just odd. Certainly not good but it certainly does Taste. Added some ranch powder to it for a bit while streaming myself eat it with pals on a discord server and it was god awful. (Second pic)

Third impressions: I’ve given up not wanting to touch the chicken and ate the most fucked up looking wing known to man. I know I cut my wing meat terribly with a knife and fork. It adds to the horror imo

Plate has been fully eaten. There’s an itching sensation at the back of my throat. The leftover chicken smells like lemon all surface cleaner and I realized that’s what the chemical flavor reminds me of. I feel like whenever I look at the chicken I can envision a Geiger counter clicking. 4/10. Will not make again.

i love me some good serious fear toxin tropes, but have we ever considered that the bats just. start doing shit.

like, obviously they're going to take it seriously in the moment. a bit hard not to when jason is in the corner muttering about some hotline or whatever. but when they're in the medbay, antidote still being curated to match the particular toxin, this is exactly how I picture it going and I fully believe this is what happens.

tim : so. you, uh, good?

jason : (staring blankly at a corner of the room, hands catastrophically shaking)

tim : okay, not good, yeah.

jason : (glances at tim) there's something. right there. (looks back to the corner)

tim : oh so we're hallucinating still, got it.
