After a legal name change I believe you get a new one

im not sure how it works everywhere else, but where i live (new york) even if you get a legal name change, you have to manually fill out a form for a new birth certificate. same for social security, drivers license, insurance, etc. why they can’t just. Do that all for you, ill never know

its also like. $100+ for the name change itself in court, plus you have to pay a local newspaper to publish the fact that you changed your name, pay for a new license. it overall set me back probably $250 and days worth of waiting for emails, phone calls, and mail. its so bullshit
