Me, two years ago: I am never coming back to Tumbler.
Also me: I lied. Only this frikin fandom could make me come back. I am LIVING for the post-finale Supernatural drama. Jared, you are over-the-top extra and not always in a good way. Jensen, you are probably always right but also a dick about it. MISHA, you are perfect, please rise above J2 and give us the Castiel spin-off we all deserve with no drama!
This week is never-ending...
TROS- Alternate ending
What Could Have Been, What Should Have Been.
It’s time for sad reylo hours.
HAAAAH! I may be super disappointed in JB, but at least I’m not alone.
Kylo Ren: Control yourself. A lightsaber? Interesting.
Stormtrooper who's about to get promoted: If there's one Jedi left, it's not you

Kylo Ren/Ben Solo + taking some fashion inspiration from his grandma ✨
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019) dir. J.J. Abrams
For real, Oscar Isaac and Anthony Daniels are the most refreshing parts of this film...
STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER SPECIAL EDITION | by Andrew Sebastian Kwan
They filmed it this way. And yet we only got echoes of voices, no dead Jedi. Disney sucks.
has this been done before?
We tried 😭
TLJ: rey’s parents were nobodies. she doesn’t descend from some ancient bloodline. her strength is not attributed to some (male) ancestor, it comes solely from herself.
TROS: *makes rey a palpatine*
me:
TLJ: rey’s parents were bad people who sold her. this is thematically important to her whole arc about finding her identity. in order to grow and mature as a character, she must let go of the idealised picture of her parents she has in her head and the harmonious infancy she never had. she wants her parents to be good, noble people, and by having them be bad nobodies, we force her to change and grow, to create her own place in the universe/her own identity.
TROS: actually rey’s parents were G O O D P E O P L E who sold her to ~protect~ her uwu
me:
TLJ: we killed snoke to make room for the actually interesting conflict, the one between the conflicted supreme leader kylo ren and the resistance, his mother and rey.
TROS: *brings back palpatine*
me:
TLJ: the jedi failed. they were arrogant and stuck in their ways. they were so terrified of the dark side that they turned a blind eye to the darkness rising with palpatine. they deal in absolutes. it is time to let this flawed order die. we must learn from our past mistakes. failure is the greatest teacher.
TROS: rey is a jedi now
me:
TLJ: rey and kylo have a complicated relationship. they are beyond physically fighting each other, they now have to figure out their emotional conflict on how they are going to navigate their force bond connection and ambiguous feelings as supreme leader and resistance fighter.
TROS: *more lightsaber fight nonsense*
me:
TLJ: rose is a self-assured, determined character, an integral part of this story. she acts as moral authority to finn, helps him find his purpose in the resistance and embodies hope, resilience and fighting for the right cause.
TROS: *1:16 minutes of screen time*
me:
TLJ: rose and finn share a kiss
TROS: …y'all hear sumn?

Cis people this is a post for trans people, notice the trans flag in the kid’s wings. Please please please keep this in mind when reblogging.
parents not accepting their trans children is so unbelievably horrible. my best friend had to go through this. if something like this has happened to any of you, i am your mom now and i fully accept you for who you are. love you, children <3
The picture is tragic. I wish there were PSAs made for for adults, educating them on gender, transition, non-binary, etc. I know so many adults/parents who cannot wrap their heads around the subject and cannot understand gender beyond their own binary upbringing. It’s a huge tragedy, as the younger generations in some places are getting some education or at least baseline social awareness of these topics, but the older ones cannot comprehend. I’m thankful I took gender studies in college and had a progressive professor. As someone raised in a Catholic, binary environment, I have to actively work every day to overcome my preconceived notions of gender, but at least I have some education to work from. I cannot fathom not accepting your own child as they confront their own gender reality, but I think much of the rejection and bullying comes from a place of ignorance, not hate.
It’s nice to see mutuals posting the epilepsy warning for the new star wars movie but I’d like to see just one person who isn’t affected say “do we really need these effects? Do they make the movie better? What if they made the movie without them so everyone could enjoy the movie?”
Disney Epilepsy Warnings and Consistency
Once again, we thank The Walt Disney Company for taking the initiative to issue an epilepsy warning ahead of the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. This is something we are glad to see, but would still like to see more.
Remember: photosensitive epilepsy is not the only health concern that is triggered by strobe light effects. Other potential physical symptoms of extended viewing of strobe lights include headaches and migraines, nausea, vomiting, disorientation, and fainting. Those are just the ones we’ve been told about by our readers.
We would love to see a more consistent pattern of warnings about strobe light effects before the film’s release. In the case of Incredibles 2, the warning only came after the release and a public outcry. But Disney has continued to release films with severe strobe effects without warning. Among the more recent releases are Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, Toy Story 4, Spider-Man: Far From Home, the remakes of Aladdin and Lady and the Tramp (the latter of which did have a warning on Disney+), and Frozen II. Some of them had brief moments of severe strobe effects. Others had them for extended sequences. This consistency would also be greatly appreciated on Disney+, as many titles that should have a warning, including the original version of Dumbo and Lady and the Tramp, should have a warning but don’t. The fact that they’re saying anything at all about the strobe lights means that the scenes featuring these effects are noticeably straining, even on the eyes of people who don’t suffer from photosensitive health concerns.
Disney is not the only studio guilty of this inconsistency. Last year alone, Sony Pictures issued a warning about Slenderman, but failed to do so for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Other studios have failed to issue any warning at all, including Warner Bros., which never published a word about nearly an entire half-hour of It Chapter Two being filled with extreme strobe lights.
One idea we’ve had, that’s been on the back burner for a while, is coming up with a system similar to the MPAA rating system, which shows on the film’s poster how severe the strobe light risk might be. A symbol or logo with a number or a color, or an agreed-upon code that the relevant audience knows beforehand. Something to just tuck in with the other many logos at the bottom of the poster.
If you are planning to see The Rise of Skywalker with someone who suffers from photosensitive health conditions, make sure you know beforehand what to do if they have an episode of said health condition. If they are prone to seizures, look up seizure first aid. If they have a history of vomiting due to strobe effects, ask for an empty popcorn bucket at concessions. If they tell you they need to leave, go with them, no matter how much you need to know what’s going to happen in the movie. The health of your family and friends is more important than if Kylo Ren will be redeemed or not. And above all, make sure your photosensitive friends know that this movie has severe strobe effects. Use those words.
Stay safe everyone, and may the force be with you.
“...contains several sequences with imagery and sustained flashing lights that may affect those with photosensitive epilepsy.”
If by “several sequences,” they mean the entire last quarter of the movie, yes. Me in the theater trying to comprehend what the hell JJAbrams and Disney did through my photophobia somehow made the whole thing WORSE! Yes, Disney, let’s roll 20 straight minutes of blue lightning on Exegol. 😩🌩⚡️Movies and concerts lately have been torture because of this issue, I wish directors and lighting techs would find a better alternative.
