This wall I keep safe, myself preserved,
Sheltering me from the rain outside,
I hear a knock, resounding through the room,
A fellow stranger peeks inside, drenched down,
"May I enter?" she said "It's cold outside"
She's built of grace, empty eyes to stare into,
Water runs down her arms, the drops falling down,
A floor once dry left to be dried again,
The rain enters through my now broken wall,
My skin, where it runs down like teardrops,
She offers me food, a variety of flavours,
Resistance leaves my body, I let myself consume it,
My body feels numb, the lingering feel of teardrops
are all I sense, I lie down, my eyes can't help themselves,
Her tales leave her, entering my body,
The sweet stories that now tear me apart,
Planting themselves in the land inside me,
The land now consumed by her.
She leaves as quickly as she arrived,
Carrying her stories in her brown satchel,
Left to meet her next victim, for I'm long gone,
What was once mine is now hers,
My mind, my sorrow, it is now tainted with hers,
The rain sweeps through the broken walls.
