This company finally getting their business together. I’ve loved their pizza for years, even thought about it during class, hoping to head over during lunch for a slice (even though I lived nowhere near it.) I even applied to work there.
Back when it was relevant, going to the mall was rare, and a slice of Sbarro pizza was an incredible post-shopping treat.
I always wondered what would become of the franchise that persisted to look the same for years. Mall shopping declined pretty quickly, it’s obvious why. They even filed for bankruptcy twice, leaving me a bit fearful. Now they’re coming back into the game with a new idea; follow trends.
Delivery and fast-casual coming into play for them. They’re late about it, but it works (omg delivery.)
I live in Albuquerque where we got 1 location, so I don’t expect to see change from Sbarro for months, but I’ll be excited for when it happens.
I mainly care about the Sbarro delivery. Here in ABQ we got our own fast-casual pizza chain that took our town by storm, which is good, but still second in my eyes.
Forgot to mention. Their History is great and all, and for me it was fun to read about, but the average consumer wouldn't give it the time to find out.
