Hello, my name is Nadin. I’m from Gaza. I’m a graphic design graduate, a wife—and now, a mother.
I finished my design studies just before the war began. I had dreams of starting a small studio, of creating art that told stories. I used to think about colors and fonts and the future.
Then, the war came. And the future became something we tried to hold onto, moment by moment.
On October 22, 2023, I learned I was pregnant when a missile destroyed my husband’s family home, killing 25 members—his mother, siblings, nieces and nephews—entire branches of our family in seconds.
We were displaced twice. Everything was gone—home, safety, routine, rest.
A few weeks later, I gave birth to our daughter. There was no crib, no celebration—not even stillness. But she arrived, quietly and beautifully. In her eyes I saw something I hadn’t felt in weeks: life that still wanted to grow.
Now, our days are shaped by decisions that could dismantle the future we are trying to build together.
Today, Israel’s government is discussing plans for a full military occupation of the Gaza Strip, including Gaza City and southern regions. The stated aim: to eliminate Hamas and later hand governing control to allied Arab forces—not Israel—but with no clear path to peace or normalcy.
The humanitarian fallout is devastating. More than 61,000 Palestinians have died in this war; hunger and malnutrition are rising sharply. Hospitals in north Gaza have shut down, and 193 people have now died of starvation, nearly half of them children.
Aid remains blocked, water is scarce, and many risk dying of hunger or disease long before future promises arrive.
We Don’t Know What Comes Next
There’s no clear path forward—only uncertainty for our daughter’s life and our ability to survive another day.
My name is Nadin, and I’m a mother from Gaza.
How You Can Help
I’m asking for support—not for comfort, but for survival:
Help us meet basic needs so we can breathe, heal, and preserve a world for our daughter.
Support us as I try to stand again on my own feet—even a glimmer of stability matters.
If you’ve read this far, thank you. If you can give—thank you. If you can’t—just sharing this post is a lifeline I will never forget.

I've been thinking for a while about making a rainbow American flag because the USA is a load of crap right now and could honestly use a redesign so I present to you my "Make America Free Again" flag. Feel free to use it, in fact it would make me really happy if you used it, and feel free to suggest ideas to make it better
here are some possible symbolic interpretations:
rainbow stripes to represent our diversity and freedom to be ourselves, including the queer community but also different races, religions, genders, disabilities, and all identities (except for haters, those don't count). We are so lucky to have a country as diverse as this.
faded gradient in the background to show people breaking free from confines and expectations and that even with all these differences we're all human and we all make this country beautiful.
all 50 stars in a peace symbol to show that even though we are different we can coexist peacefully and that even in the dark we all shine brightly. It's a celebration of all 50 states living in harmony and a hope for a better future.
The black is also symbolic of all the lives and deaths that have built this country. Land, culture, people, and lives we have stolen, things that can never be given back. It's in honor of those who have been wronged and a promise to never forget and never let it happen again. It's a promise to be better, for things to be given back to our people.
This flag represents our endless diversity, our effort for harmony, the pain we'll remember, and the freedom we were promised
I guess you could call this MAFA (make America free again) or DHPF (diversity, harmony, pain, and freedom) or something else idk, rainbow America?
do you guys like my flag? 🥺 If there is anything problematic about it please tell me. I want this flag to be something that people can be proud of.
There hasn’t been any donations for 2 days—right now they’re funding for evacuation so they can escape this and let Ola’s children see their father again.
They’re at €23,135 out of €35,000 as of May 26th—be the push they need if you can be. Let them know they don’t have to do this alone. Contact me on Pinterest or Twitter if you wish to be removed, even temporarily—I am @7yrannic on everything.
Wanted this to be out earlier but oh well it's not late
HAPPY PRIDE MONTH 🏳️🌈
Remember you are always loved and accepted by many people! No matter what you are, what you are thinking about yourself, or your situation, always persist as you are human ❤️❤️
These are just a few of the reasons I LOVE the LGBTQIA+ community so much!
It's always important to remember what being a part of a community like this means. For me personally it means home, it means love, friendship and safety but for millions of people across the world right now it's the opposite, with everything going on in the world (especially with the recent rulings in the UK and USA) it's easy to forget that not everyone has a safe space in the world, they're being persecuted and hated for just being themselves!
Remember people, be there, be seen, be careful, be proud but above all be kind!
And on that note, if you need a friend, a place to vent or rant about anything that's going on in your life then my inbox and DMs are open to all who need a friendly face and listening ear.
If your family don't accept you then I'm your family now. Go eat, drink some water, and take your meds!
its important to note in the current situation that the protests are becoming an excuse for Trump to challenge one of the big blockades to his dictatorship: States' rights.
See, the US is not really truly one nation. Its a union of 50 different nations, and a few territories! Thats why the name of the country is "United States of America" and not just...America or something idk. Its kinda like the EU; we have individual nations but they also have this mechanism above it where we all elect representatives to, and they vote on things that affect all of the states. Its not a 100% perfect comparison, but the point is, there's serious limitations on the federal government's control over the states it composes.
An example most USians are familiar with is the legal status of marijuana. Most states in the US have some form of legalized marijuana at this point, but the federal government its still fully illegal. This is because theres laws limiting the federal government's ability to regulate drugs, and its ability to enforce that. Its not that States' laws to legalize marijuana make it 100% legal in those states, so much as it is that theres functionally no way for the federal government to reasonably counter these legalization laws without acting illegally.
So why's that a huge problem for Trump? Well, he wants a dictatorship, and California (amongst other blue states) represents a huge obstacle on that road. California is the vast bulk of the country's economy, and in fact, when compared with other nations, California is the fourth largest economy on earth. We're also the most populous, and also one of the most anti-Trump states. If Trump's goal is to ensure republican control over America forever, he cant manage that so long as theres a defiant state, let alone one with enough international pull to actually stand up to him. He needs to crush California's power entirely if he's to get what he wants.
So how does he do that without like, outright declaring war? He uses a prop. He makes the claim that Newsom is somehow too incompetent to do his job controlling the state, and starts taking away California's national guard and federalizing them illegally. Then he deploys them, again illegally, to start marching the streets intimidating and villainizing Californians, labelling us insurrectionists and migrants (which is going to be his excuse for taking away our due process rights, again illegally). Then finally, as he is threatening, he will arrest Gavin Newsom, and find a way to install his own puppet leader.
Simply put: This is a coup. This is an attempt to occupy California with the federal military and overthrow our elected official. Going back to the EU comparison, this is like if the EU decided to use military force to occupy and overthrow the government of Germany.
We’re just ignoring the fact that a cop literally pointed a gun at a 9 News Australia journalist and shot her in the leg with a rubber bullet while she was covering the protests on live television huh?
LA Riots: Australian 9News reporter Lauren Tomasi struck by rubber bullet
If they’re willing to do this on live TV to a reporter, then they’re doing worse in the parts you don’t see.
