He Proposed… and I Said YES (again 😭💍)

Okay so… I’m still in shock and emotional and smiling like an idiot every time I think about it — THE LOML PROPOSED!

We already planned the wedding. We already knew we were going to spend forever together. But he still went out of his way to make it official. To surprise me. To show me love in his own sweet way.

And even though I hate being the center of attention and get so awkward when I’m embarrassed — I loved it. I love him.

It’s moments like this that remind me why he’s the one. Every now and then, he does something so thoughtful and unexpected, and it just hits me — I’m really marrying my best friend. He chooses me — not just for the wedding date we set — but over and over again, in little and big ways.

I know settling down won’t be easy. Life is already throwing us curveballs. But I truly believe that together, we can get through anything. We’ve got love. We’ve got trust. We’ve got a future.

And I can’t wait to say “I do” and start the next chapter of our journey. 🥹💗

Drowning in Stress But Still Manifesting My Comeback

I need more motivation — I need more than just hope right now. I need a breakthrough. Because the truth is… I'm stressed. Bad.

I have piles of debt and every time I make a payment, something else comes up. It’s like I’m trying to put out fires with a leaky bucket. The wedding is eating up a huge chunk of the budget, and then there’s everything else — life doesn’t stop because I’m trying to get married.

It feels like I’m drowning. Like I can’t keep my head above water.

I know I’m doing everything I can. I know I’m trying — really trying — but it still feels like I’m stuck in the same cycle. The money comes in, and it goes right back out. The debt doesn’t shrink fast enough. And the pressure is slowly suffocating me.

I need a way out. I need more income. I need a shift in my energy. I need a miracle.

So I’m holding onto whatever I can — and right now, that means holding onto my manifestations.

Because even though it’s hard right now… I believe I’m not meant to stay stuck.

A Few Weeks Away & Everything Feels Like Chaos

It’s been a minute since I last posted — I think it’s been about 3 weeks? Life has been non-stop and I’ve barely had a chance to breathe, let alone write. But here I am, trying to make sense of the whirlwind that is life right now.

The wedding is literally just a few weeks away. I still don’t have the rings. I still don’t have the dress. I have my hair appointment booked at the end of the month, so at least there’s that. Work has been insanely stressful. Looking for a new job is basically like throwing my resume into the void and hoping it lands somewhere that actually sees my worth.

And on top of all that, my partner still needs to get a suit — not just for our wedding, but also for my best friend’s wedding.

These past couple of months have been hectic, and the next few coming up? Just as chaotic. Even though our wedding is small and intimate, there’s still so much to handle. Legal name change, moving in together, organizing everything…

Originally, we were supposed to move into his parents’ condo after the wedding. But they had to sell it. Now, we’re moving into my parents' condo instead. Problem is — no parking spots. So now we’re scrambling to rent two spots on top of everything else.

We still don’t have a down payment saved yet, and it’s way too short notice to find a place and figure out our finances. So for now, we’re settling into my parents' condo and slowly organizing ourselves — money, plans, and all. We're gonna look for a place we actually want, in an area that feels right for us, instead of rushing into something out of pressure.

And even though I’m tired and overwhelmed and stressed out — I’m still grateful. I know this is just the messy part of building something beautiful. I still believe everything will fall into place.

Got the Job… But What About the Salary?

So, I went to an interview, and from how they talked, it seems like I got the job. Exciting, right? Except… there’s one issue. They haven’t gotten back to me with the salary yet. And now, I’m stuck in this weird limbo of whether I take it regardless or walk away if the pay isn’t right?

It sucks because I really want this opportunity. But if the salary isn’t what I was expecting, then I’d have to turn it down. And that just feels so frustrating. Like, why does it always have to come down to money?

I’ve been thinking—would it be smart to take it anyway and hope for a raise later? Or would I just be setting myself up for disappointment? Could I even negotiate without seeming greedy? It’s a contract position, so chances are they’re probably not looking to pay much anyway… but still. I feel like I should at least try.

When the System Fails Good Fathers

I am so mad right now.

My partner’s ex is making his life miserable. Not only is she keeping him from seeing his own kids, but she still expects him to pay the majority of their expenses on top of child support. How is that fair? How is this even possible?

I get that courts tend to favor mothers when it comes to custody, but what about the good fathers out there? The ones who actually want to be in their kids’ lives? The ones who are being demonized in court for things they didn’t even do?

Not every mother is a saint. Some are just as toxic, just as manipulative, just as harmful. But the system rarely holds them accountable. Instead, good fathers get dragged through the mud, labeled as deadbeats, and forced to fight just to have a chance at being present in their children’s lives.

And the worst part? It’s ruining him. His character, his spirit, his everything. It’s not fair. And I hate that there’s nothing I can do to fix it.

Interview Rejection Feels Like a Setback

I didn’t get the job.

I really thought this one could be it. I was so ready to prove myself, to take that next step, to finally get that fresh start I’ve been working toward. But here I am—back at square one. Again.

I know where I keep messing up. It’s the interviews. No matter how much I prepare, how much I rehearse, how much I try to just go with the flow—I suck at interviews. I freeze. I ramble. I second-guess my answers. I don’t sell myself the way I should. And I don’t know how to fix it.

It’s frustrating because I know I can do the job. I know I’d be great at it. But getting someone to see that in a 30-minute conversation? That’s the part I can’t seem to get right.

Dreaming of Our Future

It's Saturday, March 15, and I have the weekend to myself. My other half is working, so no weekend plans together this time. His 4-on, 4-off schedule means I only get those weekend moments with him when his days off align just right.

But on days like this, I can’t help but picture our future — a future where we’re living together, and I finally get to see him every day. I imagine waking up beside him, sharing quiet mornings, and feeling that comfort of knowing he’s always close.

I see us living a comfortable life — not extravagant, just enough to travel and see the world while still earning a good income. Maybe we’ll have our own business, or perhaps we’ll both work steady jobs that we enjoy.

I imagine a child — our child — growing up happy, becoming whoever they’re meant to be. A clean home, organized and peaceful, where everything has its place. A cozy garage for him to work on his cars and motorcycles, because I know how much that means to him. A beautiful backyard where we can gather with family for BBQs and small celebrations.

It doesn’t have to be fancy. Just a home that feels warm, safe, and welcoming. A space that’s simple, yet elegant — no clutter, no chaos, just calm.

I know these hopes and dreams will one day become reality. And until then, I’ll keep picturing it — knowing that each step I take is leading me closer to the life I’m manifesting.

I had an interview today, and honestly... I feel positive about it. At the same time, I can’t shake the feeling that I’m not sure if it went well enough to land the job. I don’t even know if it pays more than what I’m currently making, but something about this position feels right. It’s the kind of role that could challenge me, push me to grow, and help me gain more knowledge—and that’s exactly what I need right now.

I’m just trusting that whatever path I’m meant to be on will reveal itself. I believe that the right opportunity, with the growth, wealth, and knowledge I’m seeking, is already on its way to me.

Feeling Defeated but Not Giving Up

Today hit hard. The plan my fiancé and I had—moving into his parents' condo—might not happen after all. The tenant might buy it, and just like that, we’re back to square one. I get why he doesn’t want to move in here. It would slow down our savings, and we have goals. But moving in with his parents? That’s a tough pill to swallow. Privacy matters. Our sanity matters. A year isn’t forever, but it’s long enough for things to unravel if we’re not careful. And I refuse to let bottled-up frustrations be the thing that breaks us.

On top of that, the job hunt is exhausting. It’s one thing for companies to claim they “value their employees,” but it’s another to actually pay them what they’re worth. I know what I bring to the table, but finding an employer who truly sees that feels impossible.

But I’m not just sitting here. I started my Project Management course on Coursera, hoping it’ll add some weight to my resume and open new doors. I also plan on finishing my bookkeeping course—another skill under my belt. It’s all an investment in myself, in my future.

Debt looms over me like a storm cloud, and Scotiabank? A whole mess. They say one thing, then do another, and I feel like I’m running in circles. The only way out is through. I need that higher-paying job. I need to spend only what I have. I need to keep going.

Life Lately – Marriage, Job Hunting, and the Struggle of Interviews

It’s been a while since I last posted. Life has been chaotic, and honestly, I’ve just been too busy to sit down and write. I feel like I should apologize for the lack of updates—if there’s even anyone out there reading these. Sometimes it feels like I’m just talking into the void, but hey, if you’re here, thanks for sticking around.

So, big life update: I recently applied for a marriage license. It’s a huge step, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t feeling a little overwhelmed. The thought of planning a big wedding (or even a small one, really) just feels like way too much effort. I know some people dream about their wedding day their whole lives, but I’m just not one of those people. The idea of signing the papers and calling it a day sounds perfect to me. Less stress, more peace.

On top of that, the job hunt continues. And let me tell you, it’s exhausting. No matter how many times I tweak my resume to fit the job posting, I just can’t seem to get any solid bites. People always say, “It’s all about connections!” but I’m starting to think that’s a lie. Even when I do have a connection, it’s not like they can just hand me the job. You still have to be liked a lot for them to skip the whole interview process—and let’s just say, interviews are not my strong suit.

Give me a shot, and I promise I’d be an asset to any team. But sit me down in a nerve-racking interview where I have to “sell myself,” and suddenly, I feel like I’m set up to fail. I know I’m capable, I know I’m qualified, but the pressure of interviews never seems to do me justice.

Lost in My Own Thoughts

It’s been a few days since I last posted, and I’m sorry I’ve been MIA. I’ve been dealing with a flu/fever since the weekend, and I’m only now starting to feel human again. But even though my body is finally catching up, my mind feels like a tangled mess—finances, life, work… I don’t even know where to start.

I guess work is a good place to begin. My coworkers tell me my managers miss me, but let’s be real—they don’t miss me, they miss the fact that I do more than my job and make everyone’s life easier. And yet, somehow, that doesn’t translate into me deserving a raise? Funny how that works. And on top of that, I can’t seem to find a better-paying job that will actually hire me, even though I know I’m more than capable. I learn fast, I multitask, I take on more than I need to—why is it so hard to get someone to take a chance on me? I know I’d give it my all if I just had the opportunity.

Life is okay, I guess. Except for the part where my partner and I really want to afford a place of our own, but I’m struggling to save because of all the debt I’m trying to pay off. I fell behind financially after getting a place with my sister, and I feel like I can’t catch up. It’s exhausting. How am I supposed to save for a down payment when I’m barely making a dent in my debt?

And then there’s my partner. He’s carrying so much of the financial weight right now, and I hate it. I hate that he has to shoulder so much, especially when he still has to pay child support. It’s overwhelming, and I don’t know how to fix it. The only solution I see is getting a better-paying job—but we’re back to square one, aren’t we?

Monday Musings: Work, Focus, and Boundaries

So, it's been a day.

It’s Monday. I still have payroll to do. Just finished my full-time job, and now I’m jumping into my self-employed part-time job. Gotta get payroll prepped for the week.

My coworker, though… I don’t want to say she’s a mess, but—she’s a mess. And I get it. Life is tough, and she’s going through it. I really do feel for her.

But at the same time, work is work. I can’t have her drifting off-track when I need to get things done. I don’t want to be insensitive, but when we’re on the clock, we should be working. I get that personal stuff seeps in sometimes—we’re human. But there’s a time and place for it, and in the middle of tasks? Probably not the best moment.

If you’re on break? Cool, handle your business. But I firmly believe in keeping personal life and work life separate. Otherwise, everything just blurs together, and suddenly, nothing is getting done.

Today, she was trying to find a part-time job while on the clock. And I get it—everyone is trying to make ends meet. But I can’t help but think… do that on your own time. I know I do. If I lose focus, my performance suffers, and that’s not a risk I can afford to take.

Maybe that’s just me.

Small Wins and Big Goals

Today was a total success! I mean, I didn't get to do my bed yet, but I just may have time to change my sheets tonight. However, I did cook my meal prep and got some work done for my client.

I'm really hoping I can get more clients who need assistance with administrative tasks because I could totally do this as a full-time job and still have a work/life balance—and that is the goal! Anyways, back to the topic, I made pasta, stuffed chicken, and some marinated chicken wings from Costco. So I totally have enough food for lunch this week—thank goodness! I really need to stop getting my sister to buy us lunch, lol. I might also cut down on my Starbucks spending and go to Country Style instead. It costs less, at least.

Well, my client finally got back to me with the code I needed to finish my work, so I'm going to go do that now.
