do u wanna see the gromit sweater i knitted last year
took a brief interlude from the Eternal Table Runner to weave some sheep:
and now back to the overshot. rip penelope, you would have loved how long this is taking me.
3 months of spinning here and there and i finally have finished the singles of this purple mulberry silk project! now on to plying
oh. fuck.
plying.
Wool flowers are the kind I can always keep alive ✨️😌
haha, after all morning and a good portion of last night re-warping the loom from my failed attempt at the same pattern, I have something looking good... and the right side up
oh i never showed y’all my spindles, remind me tomorrow
My spindle herd!!!
yes hello id like to submit a pattern for best description
Updated pattern link (The Flying Yak shop appears to have moved entirely to Etsy)
A baby blanket that I finished recently and have been waiting to gift before I can show off photos. It’s from the Eyelet Blanket pattern (pt8351) and yarn Spring Cotton 8ply in colourway Spring Waters. Both from Bendigo Woollen Mills.
When you learn how to crochet/ knit or really any type of fiber arts, there will be a voice in your head that tells you that you should make something for everyone for the holidays.
Do not listen to that voice, for it is the devil.
I’ve been driving around with this cowl WIP in the glovebox for months, as it’s been my mindless stuck-in-traffic knitting and my being-a-passenger knitting. I had an unexpected train trip last weekend and took it along and *BOOP* finished object!
It’s about 400m of 8ply wool, Whisper from Bendigo Woollen Mills in colour Cherry. Pattern is a version of Copilot by Dominique Trad (free on Ravelry)
It's not the Fourth Doctor scarf but it's also not not the Fourth Doctor scarf, right?
Just make it exist first, you can make it good later
You should follow accounts on all your social medias that post mostly pictures and videos and descriptions of things they're making and/or have made, physically, with their hands. It's enrichment.
You can start with mine~ @hazycreations (I tend to post in bursts and reblog things in between.)
I also recommend @creations-by-chaosfay and @yarnandink and @mothyandthesquid but I'm sure there are lots of other genres of people you can find for stuff like welding or woodwork or painting or sculpting or whatever else interests you.
It's good. It's good.
new colorwork chart i made! knitting a summer top and all the dragon charts i could find were too many stitches wide for my yarn.
updated version where i added two spikes to where the tail loops
💟 super cozy.
Knitted my second sweater and I didnt know i’ve been twisting my purl stitches. Lesson learned.
