Could I request a (long, if possible) snippet about a villain who gets very jealous when "their" hero fights or talks to any other villain, because they believe they are better than most and deserve the hero's attention more? Thank you so much!! :D
I am so sorry for your wait. I haven’t had a whole load of time for editing so I hope you like this.
Hero was yet to understand why over the last few months the very sight of them was causing even the most infamous villains to flee. No one dared to even talk to them and answer their questions, all except Villain, that was. They were taking up more and more of Hero’s time. There was no getting away from them, meeting at least once a night. It was unnerving to say the least.
But tonight, Hero had managed to catch one of the smaller villains, trapping them in the dead end of a street.
“No no no,” they rushed. “Lemme go- come on before they get here? I haven’t done nothin’!”
“I know, but I’m hoping for answers,” Hero tried to reason.
“I haven’t the time for that. Come on, let me go while I got time!”
“Who are you so afraid of?” Hero asked again.
“Me,” Villain suddenly said from the roof of the house.
“A nice entrance,” Hero pointed out flatly, repositioning themselves so they could look at both Villain’s at the same time.
Villain crossed their arms and glared down at the villain Hero had caught. They were almost trembling at the knees. “Scram,” Villain growled. The smaller villain gulped and fled whilst Hero blinked in confusion.
“I hope you’re aware you’re losing me a lot of work,” Hero grumbled.
Villain dismissed the complaint with a flick of their hand. “Pah, you’re practically sweeping floors. You can get better work in your role than them. I don’t want you anywhere near those worms.”
“Yes, well, last I checked I can deal with whoever I choose. I deal with whoever this city needs me to.”
“Then check again,” Villain hissed. “You’re better than all of them.”
Hero rolled their eyes as Villain began to climb down from the roof with impressive skill. “Let me guess, you’re the only one worth my time,” Hero said.
Villain landed on the ground and smirked, “If you want to put it that way. I prefer to put it as you’re my hero- and I don’t share.” Their face was shadowed, and it gave off an eerie effect.
Hero swallowed hard but they shook themselves out of it. “Get a grip,” they retorted. “I’m not some pet.”
“Maybe so, but I don’t want to read tomorrow’s headline’s and learn you died in a dark alley.” With a terrifying calmness, they began to walk closer towards Hero. “You deserve a Ladies/ Gentleman’s death. One day I’d very much like to grant you that.”
“You’ll have to wait in the queue.” Hero clenched their fist. “You’re still wanted for the people you killed in the jewellers. If you’ve any sense you’ll start running, or else.”
Villain kept coming closer. “And leave you alone in a city full of rats? I think not. Something awful could happen to you.”
Hero clenched their fists. but as Villain walked closer they felt frozen on the spot. “I’m warning you,” they growled.
Villain swept in close and Hero’s heart leapt onto their tongue in panic. “And so am I. Stay away from the other Villains. They’ve gotten that message- it’s time you did too.” With a confident smile, Villain lightly slapped Hero’s cheek. “Or else.”
