Prologue
My brother looked down at me. His face was stern but caring. "You will stay here, Anidia", he said. "I need your help."
.
I couldn't help but shiver as we walked down the polished black hallways of this ship.
"Where are we?", I asked Ben. I walked with long strides besides my, helmet back on his head.
"On board of the Finalizer.", he answered.
I nodded and followed him. I guessed, he wanted to discuss this whole situation somewhere more private.
It took a while to arrive at our destination. We crossed path with a lot of officers and troopers. It was an incredible weird feeling. First and foremost I didn't have to hide. They weren't after me. But they also looked upon us with fear and slight confusion. It seems like Ben built himself a name here. Not a positive way.
He tapped on a pad next to a door, which quickly slid open afterwards. It seems like it were his private chambers. I saw a simple bed with a black pillow and blanket, in the middle of cold and sterile white walls.
He lead me in and after the door closed, I head him taking off his helmet. I walked a few steps, the hem of my dress followed over the polished floor as something catches my eye. A black helmet on a socket.
I stopped right before it and looked at it. It has an aura around itself that I couldn't place yet. I was far from being called force sensitive, but sometimes I do feel... something.
"Intriguing, isn't it?", I heard Ben's voice. His real voice.
I turned to look at his face. He looked stern but it feels like i could look at him forever since I haven't seen him for so long.
I nodded and looked at it again. "It is. It feels... familiar. When I look at it, it gives me many feelings."
"You feel it too?" He stepped closer, looking down at me. His dark eyes mustering me interested.
"I do. It seems like I'm not force sensitive enough to be able to use the force like you but sometimes... I feel things I can't quite place.", I answered and looked up at my brother again. He looked a tad surprised but before he could answer, I continued. "How did you find me?"
"If I could find the resistance, I could find you, but it turned out to be more than a menace to find them. As the rumors came around that you left, I immediately searched for you. It was more likely to find you than the resistance and I did. Seems like someone took a liking in your looks and described you almost perfectly. If it wasn't me who heard it, maybe you'd still be hidden on that tiny planet."
"Why am I here if not for an old promise under siblings?"
"I wanted to get you either way but I could use your help as a former resistance member."
"I'm not going to work for the First Order, Ben."
"You're not gonna work for them. You'll help me."
.
A little later some soldier told him, they got all my stuff from New Alderaan. It's quite nice that they made the effort to get my belongings, but I was disgruntled about the fact that they ruled over my head about these affairs.
Now I stood there in something they declared 'my chambers' in the middle of many boxes and belongings of mine. Elia must've gathered them all since as my assigned maid, she knew best about my stuff.
I didn't bother to unpack anything, still upset but also unsure about this while situation.
They said, someone would pick me up a lead me to where we would discuss some things on that matter.
I looked around the room. It was quite big, nothing what a little soldier would get here, I assumed. Ben must've had his hands on this matter giving me a decent room, not a... cell like a prisoner.
I smiled bitterly at this thought. Am I a prisoner? If I cooperate, I wouldn't, that's for sure...
But what make me giggle is the fact, that it was bigger and more comfortable than my brothers chambers. It seems like he didn't need this kind of comfort.
The entrance was a big room, like a living room. It has a few built-in closets, so the neat look wouldn't be disturbed by obvious furniture, a big office table with a chair, two sofas that were connected to a quite nice sitting area next to a whole wall of windows, giving a beautiful view out into space.
There also was a door that lead to the bedroom, I assumed. I walked to the door, which slid open and gave me access to a cold looking bedroom. Just like Ben's, it was all white with black sheets on top, but with the same wide widow wall. I must admit that this was a beautiful view. It seems like I must've got something only a high ranking person would get.
Deep in thoughts, I heard someone ringing at my door. I shook my head and went to the livingroom, where I opened the door for a man, that must've been here to escort me.
"Please excuse the disturbance, Miss... Organa... but I was tasked to escort you to the meeting.", he said, standing straight and not looking at me. I tilted my head and looked at him, beforeni looked down. I still wore the white dress from New Alderaan. I loved it, but I suddenly felt ridiculously misplaced like a flower on a bloody battlefield.
I discarded the thought "Alright, I'll come with you...?"
"Lieutenant Mitaka.", he said and gulped. He seemed nervous, but he tried his best to not let it show.
"Lieutenant Mitaka.", I repeated. "Please, lead the way."
It didn't took long to arrive at what seemed to be the conference room. My brother stood outside speaking to a red headed man dressed in a black uniform, over his shoulders a great coat. They turned around as they heard us approaching.
I gulped as I saw his face. He wasn't ugly by all means. I would consider him even handsome in his own way but he had a face like he was disgusted by everything, until he saw me. He looked... surprised?
"General Hux?" Ben layed a heavy hand onto my shoulder as I stopped to stand next to him. Mitaka positioned himself next to him. "My sister, Anidia."
I knew he was surprised that his sister doesn't look... more like him. I didn't know what he expected but I didn't seem to fit into his image of 'Kylo Rens' sister.
"Ah, Commander Organa.", he said, slightly smiling. He didn't smiled friendly... more a kind of smile a snake would have before devouring its prey.
I was a good actor, giving my experience as a spy. "A pleasure, General.", I said perfectly confident, tilting my head. "But since I'm not with the Resistance anymore, I'm not entitled to adorn myself with rank, i guess."
For a second he seemed surprised, but nodded approving. "Rank or not, I hope you'll prove yourself as helpful as Kylo Ren said or you'll be removed from my ship."
"Try and I'll remove the air from your lungs, Hux.", Ben said and turned to walk into the room. I looked at General Hux who looked after my brother with a hateful stare. Even a blind one would sense the hate and rivalry that lingers between these two.
He quickly looked down at me but I just blinked at him for a moment and walked after him. I could feel the burning stare of him in my back.
We went to sit at the very end of a big table, a few people already seated. They were trying hard not to stare but I could feel all the questions going around their little heads and I must admit, I found it quite amusing.
General Hux entered the room shortly after us and sat down at the opposite side of us.
"So... it seems like Kylo Ren offers us an opportunity to finally get the Resistance scum out of their hole.", he started talking and gestured in our general direction.
My brother stood up and took the word. "My sister, Anidia. She left the Resistance not long ago, which means, she is quite up to date when it comes to informations, which would greatly benefit us in our search for them."
I couldn't believe what he said. Did he just said I would simply give in and help them? I felt rage coming up but I knew better than make a fool of my own brother in front of all these people now.
"To what extent?", some officer asked, so Ben turned to look at me, wordlessly asking me to speak. I gulped and built up my confidence.
"I grew up in the Resistance, under the wing of its head, General Organa. I had many tasks within the resistance but turns out I was most talented in spying. I flew across the galaxy and listened to all their whispering. Even the smallest words can be of use when listened carefully to. Some people are just to proud to shut their mouth which I took advantage of."
It was quite for a few seconds as Hux spoke up again. "Ren... how do you think we should work with her."
"I do not work with anyone.", I said, before Ben could raise his voice. The General looked at me, unimpressed.
"So, we take you into our middle and you expect us to simply send you out alone?", he said annoyed.
"Yes. I'm a natural and I work best alone because in these matters I can only trust myself.", I almost spat out. I knew what I was capable of. "Equip me, send me out and you'll get plenty of informations. I analyze every oh so tiny snippet of a conversation and clues in the sand for useful informations, that you wouldn't even deem as informations at all due to code words. Give me some time and maybe some luck and you'll get what you ask for and more."
The red haired man smiled, pleasure seem to overtake his features. He just realized that my seemingly useless self would prove myself very much worthy. I almost huffed as I realized what I just gave off of me. Like I was absolutely sure, I would actually help them. Seems like I was way too proud in my abilities to just say nothing. Amazing. My will to survive made me talk things out like my father...
"Good. I'll look forward to it.", the ginger haired man seid satisfied.
"I expect you all to treat her with respect or you damn well know what comes upon you." Ben's... or rather Kylo Rens threatening voice halled through the room. A few gulped, some looked away, as he stood up and left.
As I followed him, I reached for his arm. "Ben!"
Immediately he stopped, turning to me. "Don't say that name. I'm Kylo Ren.", he almost spat but I heard a bit of a sigh and annoyance in his voice.
"Sorry, I... it's hard to get used to a... new name.", I said, but remembered why I stopped him. "I don't remember promising my services to you, why did you introduce me like a new coworker?"
"You didn't seem to have something against it", he said. "You seemed quite sure of what you want."
"Yes, i didn't said anything against it because I learned that you didn't disgrace someone infront of others!"
"Oh so I should be happy you didn't make a fool of me in front of these idiots?"
"Actually, yes. I thought I shouldn't destroy your 'good' reputation in front of these people!" I said and he came a step closer to me, laying his big gloved hand on my cheek.
"You're my sister and I love you dearly, but I'd greatly appreciate your cooperation."
"Who said I'd deny it to you? A little more transparency would've been nice."
.
As I came back to my assigned chambers, I saw all these boxes still laying around.
I sighed and pushed some around, looking into them. I didn't possessed that much when I came to New Alderaan, just the clothes on my body and a little bag filled with some personal belongings and practical stuff to at least survive a bit out there, everything else was given to me during my time there and was carefully packed.
I smiled a bit as i saw some extra things they send along with my clothes. Dryed fruits, bottles of wine and soaps. I knew they didn't mean to bring any harm to me, they simply wanted to protect the peace and the beautiful planet on which they worked very hard.
I shook my head and suddenly reality hit me again. I looked out of my windows into the depth of space.
I couldn't believe what I got myself into. I couldn't be serious. Me, working alongside the First Order? Shit...
