Omg I was looking up forums and discussions on Pratt vs SCAD vs Ringling for 3d animation and your little paragraph couldn't have helped me out more! I think I'm set on Pratt :-) How are you liking the program at Pratt so far? Like your experience in general with the campus/location/people/classes? I also got 19k per year, is that a good scholarship? I keep telling myself it's good but I'd have to take out so many loans beyond the scholarship I got :-( I'm scared of being in debt.
Hi there! I really enjoy the program here for 3D animation. They definitely push us very hard to produce high quality work, but its all worth for that end product. The location of the school is literally a dream. We are in a very quiet part of brooklyn, close enough to downtown brooklyn to walk and close to the subway to get to manhattan fairly easily. There are a lot of really great people at this school and you meet a lot of them through the foundation year program, and you meet even more when you get to your major. DDA is a relatively small major, i think theres around 60 of us in my year and we’re split pretty evenly between 2D and 3D, and we all work in the same building around the clock so you really get to know everyone. Your scholarship offer sounds great to me. Like with any school, there are people who are getting more money than you and there are people getting less. What matters is if you work hard enough to make it worth it.Let me know if you have any more questions!
