I was looking at your post about antisemitism in Canada, and thinking about how modern antisemites really do like Jewish things. They'll say to your face they would've hidden Anne Frank. They know Marx, they know Trotsky, they know Hoffman. They'll cry out about antisemitism when Lev Tahor is expelled. They'll talk about "Jews of color", a category that includes converts (just not white converts), mixed-race Jews, and actual parts of the Jewish diaspora other than Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews. But they hate "Zionists", never mind that most Jews are Zionists, or that certain mitzvot must be practiced in Israel.

I think the fact that two of the world's biggest religions revolve around our texts, and our people, while we have a closed religion, scares people. As the goal is to erase the "non-believers" from the earth. I bet there is a lot of lost Turtle Islanders cultural artifacts still in the Vatican to this day, along with a lot of Jewish, and other people's artifacts as well. The large majority of the world is muslim/Christian oriented society (even if they claim to be anti-theists), in human history, being different from the "cultural norm" causes fear. Fear makes people easy to manipulate.

Carney is clearly antisemitic, as his speech about antisemitism was so monotone he sounded like the "dry eyes" commercial actor.
Its easy to manipulate people who are scared and uneducated. I believe a lot of this has to do with projection, misunderstanding our culture, and fear of the unknown.
I know i said a lot, I'm not sure how well I answered your question but I agree with "Jews are backwards so they are to blame". But at the same time the old blood libels coming into play and the double standards on Israel/Judaism itself comes from not knowing about the culture.
