Just the idea some people HAD to come up with a slogan for their life's value hurts.

Free writing warmup from my short story course
Prompt: write freely, with no grammar or spelling limitations, for two minutes...
Just write & that's it coz its corona time & nothing makes sense as if sense was sensible anyway
In egypt corona is actually a chocolate brand how hilarious it is a pity they picked the wrong name long ago a virus name for Gods sake but a virus is not bad, is it? It's just a virus, I mean, if it had to choose it would be a chocolate bar in Egypt, wouldn't it?

If there's one thing we knew from the Corona Panic, is that millenials CAN rule the world just by video call!
Coronavirus realizations, @lotuswords
“when i look at you, i don’t want to look away because there is nothing else to be looked at. and the way you look at me has me feeling so lucky you chose to lay your eyes upon me.”
— eyes, eyes, eyes!!! (aka the windows to our souls).
The eyes of my love...
Remind me never to forget you
Lotus @lotuswords
How you came here doesn't matter. How you choose to live it is what counts.
Late afternoon realizations, @lotuswords
You make me feel imbalanced in a very balanced way. Or balanced in a very imbalanced way. I'm always slightly out of balance to tell...
Out of balance realizations, @lotuswords
People are people are people are people.
Never forget, @lotuswords
The Grasp that holds your heart tight
You will not surrender to grief tonight
- The Grasp (excerpt)

And don't be scared
There's nothing to worry about anymore
There's no fear that cannot be shared
There are no wounds that my love can't cure
- The Healer (excerpt)

Escort me to your definition of civilization
Discard the temples I left behind
Never mind who I was, who I am, or who I want to be
For you, my identity may gladly be redefined

Because after all
I'm a mountain waiting to fall
Dust to dust
Carbon to ash
Iron to rust

The magic of coffee…
Lotus @lotuswords
She took a satisfying sip of coffee, and looked outside as she gently placed her cup back to its saucer. It was starting to rain lightly. The soft breeze carried the scent of wet grass to her distracted senses, anchoring her mind back down to the real world.

The nostalgic falafels…
Lotus @lotuswords
"A falafel box with haloumi cheese, please" I told the vendor who instantly drifted across the counter to prepare my order. In my whole life, I have never thought a day would come when I make a 'falafel' take-out. I have never had a particular passion for this typical street-food back home. It seems that nostalgia is quite blinding for the senses.

Cleansing purity..
Lotus @lotuswords
Had she ever seen such beauty before. Had her dreams reached such cosmic heights. Had she dared to dream at all, her life would be different. That was unquestionable. The pure whiteness of snow struck her eyes, the same very eyes that were more acquainted to slum dirt and ill-looking alleys. It was quite a cleansing process, for her soul as much as her eyes. She was not used to purity. She was not used to serenity. Well, she was not used to good life quality in general, or peace of mind and heart in specific. Yet, there she was, looking at this magnificent white canvas of glittering snow.

Insomniac Talk
A moment of unity with the cosmos…
I’m tired.
Yet, I can’t sleep. Frustrating how insomnia hits hardest in the least favorable times; that is pretty much every time it hits!
I’m tired, but I can’t help but think. I can’t help but let go and give in to this sensation taking over my motionless body and racing mind. I feel the resistance, the stillness, in my deepest core, anchoring me to an invisible centre while all else orbits around.
People come and go. Money comes and goes. Dreams come and go. Everything comes and goes no matter how maddening its patterns are or how intense its presence seems. It still eventually fades into nonexistence. At the end, it feels as if I’ve been living for eternity. And it feels as if I will keep on living for eternity.
Only then I realize, that I too am fading away. If not to sleep right now, then to another restful being to come one day.

Harmony...
Insomniac Talk
Overwhelmed by possibility, overspoilt by choice…
In the middle of my (slightly over) quarter life crisis, I had a sudden epiphany; what if I’m simply spoilt?
If you are a fellow tormented millenial, picture this with me: what if all our problems stem from the very fact that they have too many solutions? We were raised in an era of scientific miracles and social fluidity that brought unprecedented prosperity. But what if it also suffocated our imagination with too much input? Should I study this or that, do I work here or there, can I do this or that… do we even realize that fifty years ago having an adequately paid office job was a legit life-dream to live up to?
Ambition is ingrained in our DNA. Yes, we are a revolutionary generation. We are rebels. We are human rights advocates. We are anti-war activists. We are cyber space citizens. And we are full of fear of all the god damn uncertainty that comes along with this freedom. How to make a decision when the stakes are so high, yet there is no ‘wrong’ move? How to own up our choices when we are given too many choices? And how the heck we master to oversee the abundance, and choose to perceive the scarcity instead?
Maybe we are just spoilt.

What if we just don't know we're blessed?
