Let’s@talk about domestic violence; because this was our neighbor directly behind us-at 9:20 I counted like 13 shots in rapid succession and then a pause and the last 2 shots, then an eerie silence. It sounded incredibly close. My older son had come to visit and was still in the area seeing his friends, he was shook and checking on us frequently but unknown to us what had happened. I know it sounded like It was in front of our house, but it was actually behind us, as our back yards faced each other. They were renting. I don’t know them but saw them, I recall a kid 6-7 years old, not sure the relation. I told my mom and son to get away from the windows, and we waited. The cops started trickling in we couldn’t see outside, we kept getting phone calls from all neighbors to see if we were ok. It was that close to us. This is a sleepy and quiet neighborhood. Middle class, a small pocket of maybe 75 homes, one entrance in and out. It’s safe for the most part, the Ritz Carlton at the end of the street outside our subdivision Garden Cove, the street whisper lakes boulevard dead ends into the Jw Marriott and the Ritz. I’ve been here on and off since 1997. It has been the stability my kids have been lucky to have, all they know. A kind neighbor, their childhood friends. Good schools. Quiet, so quiet. They were a couple recently moved into the garage apartment, and the owner who had rented them the room wasn’t home. I wonder how she feels seeing this tragedy unfold in her home. So he killed her, his wife. I never knew his name. I heard 15 shots at 9:20 pm and then the quietest silence. So the three musketeers are coming to me temporarily but I would love if anyone can hit me up with some Venmo donations for cat food and litter if possible because I already have over 15 Foster’s I’m trying to reunite the babies with their mom which unfortunately is not Chickies and I believe it would be Pepper’s kittens but I’m still trying to trap her and if I can trap her I will be having a cage that’s big enough for her to safely nurse the kittens until we can secure a foster place for all of them but in the meantime get her some medical care I will post the pic of her damages, warning it’s gruesome but she needs to be seen ASAP and so far the medical is 75 for a visit and 120 for anesthesia and not counting stitches, I will post more in a few in the meantime my Venmo is @Sandy-Torres-8 and I thank you for your support in helping Pepper recover and reunite with the babies! A sad farewell to our icon, our mystic and very own star man Walter Mercado. He was a lovely human being, this Puerto Rican superstar was a dear friend of my father’s Teddy Torres. Whom in his early career, jockeyed to get Walter a slot on his close friend’s (Tavin Pumarejo’s midday show), once he got some on camera, time-Walter was unstoppable!!Skyrocketing to fame with his own show, appearances, psychic line, CD’s, books, tours on his syndicated television show he would give out zesty horoscopes delivered with his singular allure, he was gorgeous.
