Laxus Pre-Relationship Headcanons

Reader is a first generation dragon slayer, Magic type itself is not mentioned. I'd like to think of this as canon compliant.

Part 2

I know I'm writing for a dead fandom, But I love this man so much.

Laxus who was the first friend you made in the guild. He was the one who found you, lonely walking around the woods. Looking for your parent. He was the one who brought you back to the guild with him and asked Gramps to let you join. And it was the best decision he ever made.

Laxus who unwillingly had a soft spot for you. He couldn’t understand why he felt so soft for you but felt such malice towards others. You and the thunder legion seemed to be his exceptions but they weren’t always safe from his wrath. You were special.

Laxus who’ll take you on quests with him just so he knows you’re safe. He doesn’t do solo quests because he doesn’t like the thought of someone else making moves on you. But that also means you don’t do solo quests either, you two are a duo.

Laxus who denies a relationship. He’d never actually admit it but he does have a crush on you in his teens that develops into something more as the two of you grow. His reasoning for not letting you go on solo missions is because “You’re weak” even though you’re literally a dragon slayer too. He’s more embarrassed about the fact he’s so weak for someone, not the fact the crush is on you. His father taught him that love is a weakness.

Laxus who while believing love is a weakness will never try to get rid of you. Simply because he cannot stand the idea of someone else taking you away; Call it possessive dragon instincts.

Laxus who will never stand for someone in the guild talking about you. They can shit talk him all they want but the second your name is brought up he goes feral. He probably cares more about your image than you do.

Laxus who kept you locked up with Gramps during the battle of Fairy Tail. Making sure you wouldn’t get hurt while the battle was going on. (He had Fried cast a protection spell) But the second the spell was broken you joined Gajeel and Natsu in finding Laxus. Laxus will fight back but will 100% pull his punches, he’s not trying to hurt you, but he knows you can take it.

Laxus who let you follow him when he was kicked out of the guild. It was already hard enough having to leave the Thunder-Legion behind so when you asked to go with him it was a no brainer.

Laxus who takes care of you while the two of you are on the road. Will always keep you within his line of sight, or keep a hold on you. You’re not running off anywhere. 

Laxus who helps you train vigorously. He tests the magic transfer on you, but don’t worry he’s super careful because hurting you would break him. The two of you are able to form a very powerful unison raid. Giving him yet another reason to keep you by his side.. Not that he really needed one.

Laxus who keeps a constant eye on you while on Tenrou. He does eventually lose track of you but you reunite at the basecamp with everyone. Absolutely does not let go of you when Acnologia appears. 

Laxus who was found holding you when the other members of Fairy Tail found you all after 7 years of being missing. Was found clinging to you. (Everyone saw and will not let him live it down)

Laxus who is against you being a part of the Grand Magic Games. Which absolutely leads to a petty fight. But ultimately you join Fairy Tail Team B as the reserve and then an official member as Jellal’s replacement.

Laxus who searches for you the second everything goes to shit and the dragons start coming through the eclipse gate. He makes sure you’re okay from everything that happened before, and you two end up joining Wendy with her fight. 

Laxus who FINALLY confesses his feelings for you at the celebration in the castle. He does it in front of everyone, including all the girls fawning over him. He spends the night by your side and promises to continue staying by your side.
