Well Miss Monica James is back !!! Holy smokes this book was everything I love about a dark romance not only a dark romance but one written by Monica James! I don’t even know where to start other than this book was so dark it’s gritty and raw the characters are put through some shit but they can hack it because they are tough I think they were bred and born for this ! Lenny and Valentina are destined to be together there star crossed lovers even though they were raised together they have never seen each other as brother and sister that one scene when they were young and in the orphanage and Lenny stood guard watching Valentina sleep making sure she was safe so she could sleep oh my heart I knew then that he was going to be the ultimate book boyfriend this man’s heart is so pure he feels and he feels so deeply especially where Valentina is concerned he still hangs on to his humanity after everything he has been through what he was raised to do he is just so beautiful and omg that ending I screamed and might have thrown my kindle but I threw it on my bed so it wasn’t as satisfying but eh you win some you lose some lol but darn you Miss James!!! Ughhh so I’ll be patiently waiting for the next book!
