I made an Emotional Support Pocket Ghost for myself 😅💕
Left: Without embroidery Right: With embroidered leg straps, and skeleton gloves
I will make a headset for him when the right-coloured yarn has arrived.
But I'm still on the fence whether to make his tactical vest or no... we'll see.
Pattern: I used Pink soldier amigurumi by Anitha Domacin as base, but did some modifications, mainly longer legs and arms, and smaller head. For the skull, I used Heart with Skull applique by Hanna Sorokous as basis, but again, modified it until i liked it.
Hook: 2 mm for the skull, 3 mm for the rest
Yarn: Selfspun for the skull, Catania scraps for the rest
The main inspiration and visual guide for this was actually @shadeops21's "MWII Cosplay Guides - Simon "Ghost" Riley"! Thank you so much for this guide @shadeops21!
And now excuse me as I rotate this blorbo not only in my head, but also in my hands xD
En Anglais, on ne dit pas “quatre vingt dix neuf”, on dit “ninety nine” qu'on pourrait traduire comme “Hurr durr, regardez mois, j'ai un système de numérotation fonctionnel” et je crois que c'est magnifique.
“You write the beginning and then you go back and rewrite the beginning, and you never got off page one. It’s kind of a syndrome, and I have a rash piece of advice which is — Go on, page two, page three, and never look back. Get something finished, no matter how lousy it is. […] Perfectionists cannot get going unless they kind of do violence to their own instincts, and just blast ahead.”

Mass Effect Andromeda Appreciation Week
When: July 20 to 26 (2026)
Tag: #meaweek2026
What the week is about: It's a special week to celebrate Mass Effect Andromeda!!!! A game that gives us a lot of joy! So let's talk about our Ryder, the Tempest crew, the worldbuilding, the new species like the angara and the kett... Let's have fun together!
How is it different from any other week? Appreciation weeks can get people excited about a specific fandom and be more active. It can bring more fandom content. The fact that there's one tag that fandom can check every day of that week is very nice for everyone who wants to share their thoughts and fanworks. It's also a good week to find friends in fandom! So if you're new, enjoy!!!
What can be posted in the tag: Fan fics, fanart, gifs, picspams, meta, memes, fanvids, etc.
What can't be posted in the tag: MEA criticism. This is not the week for it. Also avoid bashing ships and characters, respect other people, don't be a bigot, etc. Apply the usual fandom rules that mean we can all share a nice space together. Be mindful that other people think differently than you and that's okay.
Prompts
They can help to inspire and motivate you. You don't have to follow them but here they are below.
Day 1- Ryder (Background/Identity) Day 2- Relationships (Friends/Lovers/Enemies/Family) Day 3- Characters (Tempest/Others) Day 4- The Andromeda galaxy (Beauty/Lore) Day 5- Nexus / New friendships (Species/Krogan colony/Outcasts/Collective) Day 6- Mysteries / Benefactor (????? Unanswered Questions) Day 7- "Thank you Mass Effect Andromeda for"
Enjoy!!!!
It starts tomorrow!!!!!!!!
The Shogun and the Ronin
I’ve been obsessed with this tiktok for days now
Person: "Hello sir." he pets the frog with one finger.
Person: "Have a good day. Actually wait a minute. You missed a bug, but I got you home boy. Hold on." he picks a bug up and throws it next to the frog.
Frog: turns around and eats the bug.
Person: "OHHHHH-" sings high pitched and angelic like he witnessed a miracle.
IDK I think if cis men are being told that being fat will lower their testosterone and make them Insufficiently Masculine, and cis women are being told that being fat will raise their testosterone and make them Excessively Masculine, and fat trans people are being denied the right to medically transition if they're fat, and thin trans people are warned against HRT because it will make them fat (and this is said about both testosterone and estrogen HRT), and androgynous-presenting people are told that only thin people count as androgynous...
Then maybe...
Maybe...
Maybe the weight loss industry is just using Gender to enforce fatphobia.
My favorite genre of self-portrait is cartoonists being bothered by their characters while trying to draw
Bill Watterson – Calvin and Hobbes (1986)
Hergé – Tintin (1947, Tintin Magazine)
Jeff Smith – Bone (1993, Bone Holiday Special)
Walt Kelly – Pogo (1950, Maclean's Magazine)
And a bonus:
Berkeley Breathed – Bloom County
for the reverse, take this image of Tove Jansson about to murder the moomin characters
i am massively overdue for a very very good week where not a single bad thing happens and everything is easy
reblog to give prev a very good week where not a single bad thing happens and everything is easy
im so sorry i never participated in the reblog game you tagged me in i love you very much im just so tired
More Pebble and Stryzh ( @liu-senrust 's oc) looking cool and awesome.
I love this duo, and I needed some more art of them aura farming....
Fun fact about Pebble: she'll always (try to) walk ahead. Not because she wants to lead but because she'Il always make sure she's between danger and her people.
Not that Stryzh would need it
But it's a habit of hers now.
As always, no words. I'm so in love with this, I love their dynamics so much and LOOK AT THESE LIGHTS ????? it's insane I'M SO HAPPY 😭❤️
And I just love the small details. The fact that she leads, even if he doesn't need her protection. He won't question it, habits are habits and he doesn't have the ego to take it badly. They just work, and it's so good

ao3 comments will be like “i like this line of your fic” and my reply will be like “fantastic thank you here’s my entire thought process about how i ended up with that particular line and also an outline for another fic i have and fifteen resources i used to research 1980s politics” and nobody asked for that chill
i asked for that
No we 100% asked for that.
Definitely asked for that, and also here’s the other three dozen lines from your fic that I liked and the outline for the fic they inspired me to write plus some extra character meta that at this point is only tangentially related to your fic but was definitely inspired by those 1980s politics resources and -
Yep.
This is literally how I made most of my fandom besties.
Listen…
Fic Commenters: If you ever want to make a comment going on depth about a part of a fic that stood out to you, but think “does the author really want to read all this?” The answer is YES! YES WE DO WANT TO READ ALL THAT!!!!
Fic authors: If you ever see a comment that makes you want to explain your thought process behind your writing, and you think “does the commenter really want to read all this?” The answer is YES! YES WE DO WANT TO READ ALL THAT!!!
"Originally, Arena was supposed to be a simple fighting game where various challengers would face off inside an arena—hence the name. But then we started introducing money, which players would earn after every victorious match and use to gradually upgrade their characters by purchasing new weapons and armor. Then we asked ourselves: why limit ourselves to just arenas? Why not set part of the action in a dungeon as well? And so it went, until we eventually ended up creating an RPG—which is, ultimately, the TES: Arena that you all know today."
--Julian LeFay, explaining how they accidentally created The Elder Scrolls by continuing to expand the scope of their original project
