I want to organize my files this year, and keep them organized haha Do you have any advice how to do that? Thanks!

I keep my files in the binder, I find it is the most flexible way to store them, since I can rearrange and move around everything. I have tabs for each subject, and within those sections I arrange files by weeks. For example, for subject A there is tab with the name of the subject, on the back of that tab I keep some basic info about the exams, assignments, important due dates, rules, professors email, office number etc. Then I have plastic foil with my notes from one week, after that any reading materials we got, or papers professor gave us during the lectures, and then the next week etc. I keep it like this so that once I start revising I can go week by week. Also, the material is organized so that each week we have similar workload, sometimes it is 1/2 of the chapter, sometimes it is 3 chapters. If I would keep it by chapters, I wouldn’t be sure how much I am supposed to cover in a week. I find that organizing everything by weeks helps me be much more efficient with my studying process.
For digital files, if you have those, I use the similar system. I use folder for each subject and inside those I keep one folder for each week. Inside one week folder I have separate folders for my notes, for reading materials, for assignments and homework files and one extra folder for additional materials that are not a requirement, but I want to keep them there in case I need to find something quickly and easily.
I think that the most important thing is to keep everything organized in the same way. You should have the same system for every subject because it makes it much easier to navigate through your binder or files on your computer. It allows you to have a good idea about where everything is all the time. Also, go through your files once a week to make sure that everything you added that week is exactly where it belongs. It will help you to stay on top of your files during the semester. If you have a lot of stuff to keep organized, consider using an Index, it is like a list of everything you have in the particular section. It can help you see at a glance if what you are looking for is in that section or not.
