I cant remember if i read this on tumblr so i may just be regurgitating something already on here but i really liked its explanation of it so;

You know how there are three natural responses to a threat or an unfamiliar new situation? Fight or flight (plus the lesser known freeze response)

I read how our taste in games reflect our natural response. If you naturally have a fight response you'll be more inclined to combat games, a flight response you'll be more inclined to games like city builders or farming simulators or similar games where you can relax and build something peacefully, and if you have a freeze response you might be more inclined to strategy games where you can pause and take time to think.

Just found that interesting idk if its true but anecdotal evidence based on myself makes it seem accurate at least, i know i freeze and i also love grand strategy games so

The first sentence says 32 and 13 implying that the speaker is 32 years old and their girlfriend is 13 years old, which is both highly inappropriate and illegal. The next sentence reveals the speaker was talking about their game levels, not their ages, which is perfectly okay.

In their reply to the audience they then say they are picking her up from middle school, again implying that their girlfriend is underage, but quickly state she’s grading papers letting us know she’s a teacher, definitely an adult, and there no reason to be upset.

The rollercoaster gif portrays how switching from upset and worried to relieved in such a short period of time feels emotionally.

The next meme shows the guy panicking from misunderstanding, then feeling relieved and calm realizing the truth, only to panic over the next misunderstanding and then calm again when hearing the end.

Look. I’m going to be honest with you. Adopting that hard anti-plastic surgery stance while trans people’s lives and right to transition is at stake is absolutely horrendous timing. Knock it off.

Plastic surgery saves and rebuilds lives. While anti-aging culture and lookism are both detrimental to society, it’s important to remember that plastic surgery is healthcare.

People in the tags are nottttt getting it. I’m saying you should address the societal influences that lead young women to seek plastic surgery before you seek to villianize the plastics field and/or limit access to healthcare to anyone. Plastic surgery is healthcare.

I am not making this a ‘trans people versus feminists against lookism’ issue. You may require plastic surgery in your lifetime as well. Anyone could. The line of where plastic surgery is frivolous and driven by vanity or necessary for maintaining or creating a greater quality of life is far thinner than you think. That nose job may have been motivated by Eurocentric beauty standards or it may have been motivated by the desire to correct a deviated septum. I am saying that at a time when we are all losing our bodily autonomy and access to medical care at an alarming rate, now is not the time to be writing treatises on why access to certain forms of healthcare is bad.

Do I believe that everyone has the right to access as much of this as they like/need? Yes. Go ham. Get your gender affirming healthcare or get your eyebrows lifted or your nose moved or reconstruct that jaw eaten away by cancer.

Do I dislike looking at over filled lips and hearing about beauty culture especially when it's presented as wellness? Also yes.

Does that mean that my judgement about what I like or would do myself should matter to anyone else? Absolutely not.
