Transphobia is about to be signed into law in the UK. We can fight this.
I am begging the UK trans community and its allies to attend the Mass Lobby at Parliament on June 25th, 11am-4pm, organised by Trans Solidarity Alliance.
Last year we broke the record for an LGBT+ mass lobby of Parliament. Will you help us break it again? Join us on 25th June 2026 to demand be
The new EHRC Code of Practice pushes trans people out of toilets, hospital wards, and community spaces. It normalises gender policing based on appearance and stereotypes. It becomes statutory guidance in the UK by the end of June.
Trans people are now legally their assigned gender at birth and must join gendered spaces accordingly, but if they are perceived as their lived gender, they can also be ejected from those spaces. The guidance says: either break the law, or don’t pass too well.
A mass lobby is where you invite your MP to discuss your concerns with you in-person. Ask your MP to:
Demand full parliamentary scrutiny, debate, and use their free vote on the EHRC Code of Practice.
Support any motions rejecting the EHRC guidance. As of June 4th, Labour MP Nadia Whittome has submitted a prayer motion - Early Day Motion 240.
Write to Bridget Phillipson, the Minister for Women and Equalities about our concerns
Your MP does not have to be an ally, they do not have to respond to your email for you to show up and greencard them (details below the cut.) What matters is that as many people as possible show up.
I cannot stress this enough: Showing up in person matters. It is much more effective than petitions, emails, and letters.
It is a horrible, stressful time, and I am so sorry if you're trans and live in the UK. But I was at last year's mass lobby and the line for greencarding alone stretched around the back gates. It was a record breaking mass lobby and made us impossible to ignore. Let's do even better this time. Details under the cut:
Worried about what to say?
Bring your personal worries about transphobia being signed into law, and trans friends being excluded from public spaces. You are a living person who deserves dignity. Remind your MP of that. You will also get guidance and brochures from Trans Solidarity Alliance that outlines our demands. This is mine from last year.
Money issues?
Trans Solidarity Alliance provides a travel bursary that you can sign up for via the link.
Got a refusal or no response from your MP?
Come anyway! You can request a same-day appointment with your MP through a process called greencarding. They will come and see you if they’re already in Parliament. Even if they don’t, they’re made acutely aware of your cause because you showed up in person. This is my greencard from last year.
Here is the EHRC Code of Practice in full. It's a tough read, but some highlights are:
Organisations can’t provide trans-inclusive, single-sex services, or they risk being sued for discrimination.
e.g. domestic violence support for women including trans women, men’s rugby group including trans men (12.68).
Trans people will have nowhere safe to pee.
If you’re a trans man, businesses can't allow you to pee in the men's, and you can also be ejected from women’s bathrooms if you’re perceived as a man. Vice versa for trans women. EHRC suggests a ‘third space’ bathroom, which is discriminatory and unworkable for most businesses. (13.130-133)
Sports organisations must exclude trans people from single-sex competitions (13.73).
A women’s only sports competition must exclude trans women because of their biological advantage or face potential lawsuits (13.74), but a trans man who has undergone testosterone treatment can also be excluded based on fairness rules (13.81).
Trans women are stripped of the legal definition of ‘lesbian’, and therefore no longer have legal protections if they’re discriminated against on the basis of sexual orientation. (2.50, 2.92).
Here is the Good Law Project's better explanation of the EHRC Code.
I have also made a PDF printout of QR codes for the government petition, email your MP tool, and mass lobby link to pass around your communities. DM me and I'll send it to you.
dean who pretends to be gluttonous to hide the fact there’s an endless black hole in his center that can’t desire anything and sam who pretends to be self-restrained and ascetic to hide the fact he has an endless black hole in his center that craves and craves and craves ✨
when they first start having sex, dean expects sam to be pretty fastidious about condom use. for one, dean taught him right: no glove no love, there’s no other way about it, sammy. for two, sam’s kind of an upstanding citizen when it comes to double knotting his laces and rinsing out the bottom of his coffee mug and keeping a comb handy. for three (third? whatever, dean’s not precious about it), they haven’t had the…exclusivity talk yet.
as soon as sammy said “i do” to buttfucking and getting buttfucked on the regular, dean dusted his hands of any other hangers-on. but they haven't had the talk about it yet. dean ignores the fact the idea of sam having sex with anyone else makes him physically nauseous.
so he’s quite surprised when he fumbles around for a condom one night and sam shakes his head, bangs sticking to his forehead and fumbles it out of dean’s hand.
“no,” he pants, “in me, you have to come inside me dean, please. wanna feel you leaking out for hours.”
and well. fuck. dean can’t say no to that.
when it’s his turn in a few days, he rolls away from sam’s mouth and has to try to focus through sam’s open mouthed kisses and bites to his shoulder blades as he fumbles in his nightstand for a condom.
sam makes an honest to god whine when he sees it, and laces his fingers with dean, keeping dean from opening it up.
“please, dean,” he murmurs, kissing dean with enough tongue to make dean forget his own name, “wanna come inside you, don't you wanna feel me?" and somehow dean gets distracted and the next thing he knows, sam is staring intently at dean's hole, pushing his come back in with strong, overwhelming fingers.
it becomes a routine. dean'll fumble around for a condom or pull one out of his wallet or yank open the glovebox for them and sam's big clever fingers will slide it out of dean's palm and drop it to the floor or the sheets or the asphalt.
and dean can't really find it in him to complain because he's having the best sex of his life on a daily basis. sam barely lets him go fifteen hours without bending him over or pulling him down.
one day, sam jumps on dean as soon as they light a warehouse full of vampires on fire, pushing him up against the impala and fumbling wildly for dean’s belt. when sam starts rubbing his fingers down the back of dean’s sweaty day-three boxers, dean smacks at his hands and warns “hey man i haven’t had time to clean today” because dean doesn’t care if he is fucking his brother—saying i didn’t douche is embarrassing as fuck.
sam, if anything, kisses dean harder, takes dean’s wallet out of his back pocket, palms the lube and leaves the condom as he drops dean's wallet onto the ground.
dean, who sam yells at if he doesn't wash his hands after using the urinal, balks. until, well, he's distracted. you understand.
dean wises up one day after he hauls his creaky joints out of bed to get sam a washcloth—he’s the picture of chivalry despite his brain being drained out through his dick, thank you very much—and comes back to find sam rubbing dean’s come into the inside of his thigh like a fancy lotion.
a lightbulb. dean’s little brother might be a fan of dirty messy possessive smelly sex. huh.
dean stops trying to bring up condoms. sam starts asking dean to come on his face.
Let me settle the 'is it fetishism and is it bad?' debate once and for all:
Being attracted to any kind of body is normal. Fat bodies. Trans bodies. Disabled bodies. All normal. Being extra attracted to a specific kind of body is normal too. Totally normal to have a type.
Not unlearning the societal stigma attached to those kinds of bodies, the people who inhabit those bodies, and the people who fuck them, to the point where you do any of the following:
Only want to date/fuck the person in secret.
Reduce the person to the feature that you desire and ignore the rest of who they are as a person.
Expect the person to be a walking porn fantasy instead of a real person with their own sexual preferences and boundaries.
Would no longer love the person if the stigmatized aspect of their body changed.
Consider yourself superior to the person, think the person should be 'grateful' that you love their body, etc.
See the person as a temporary adventure while planning to eventually settle down with someone whose body isn't stigmatized.
Is bad and harmful and you shouldn't be dating anyone until you've worked on your shit, because this makes you a very terrible partner.
This doesn't mean you are a bad person with bad-fetishist-desires who can only desire people badly, it means you need to unlearn societal stigma so you can be a better partner to the people you desire.
Is Dean top or bottom in the relationship? Or do you think he is a bottom and lets Sam top him?
I like to think Dean is a switch
might be controversial to some people but I think they're both switches!!! i also think that it really depends on where they are in the show when it comes to who is more dominant/submissive in the bedroom too
I think they have all different kinds of sex like I don't think they're always having angry passionate sex OR slow soft sex. I also think they do it a lottttttt
currently thinking about dean, and that time he was time travelled back to august of 1982.
mary and john were fighting, and mary recognized dean as the handsome young man who had shown up twice in her life at pivotal moments (and somehow she always forgets about him when he leaves, how very odd) and he's so kind and gentle... until they're naked in her marital bed, and she's never experienced anything quite as intense as the way he fucks her.
'gonna put a baby in you,' he grunts, and she shouldn't let it happen but she wants so badly. she's never sure after if it was him or john that made her little sammy, and then there's a fire and death and a secret she took to the grave.
And Dean, back in his own time, getting a bit of Sam's DNA because what if it worked. And when he gets the results...
"Who's your daddy?" he says, buried balls deep in Sam.
Sammy rolls his eyes but says "you are," because Dean showed him the results earlier that day.
"Fuck yeah, I'm your daddy. I made you, baby boy," and isn't that the most delicious thing Dean's ever thought.
I love you weird fanfiction. I love you unpopular kink. I love you unsanitized sex scenes. I love you fics that the mean girls make fun of on twitter. I love you monster fucking. I love you daddy kinks and foot fetishes and water sports. I love you stories about complex human emotions and bad choices with no consequences and characters hurting each other. I love you threesomes or polycules. I love you rare pairs. I love you furry art. I love you dark fantasies. I love you kink that’s so specific and self indulgent it was clearly written just for the person writing it. I love you ships that people think you shouldn’t be allowed to ship. I love you anyone who has the courage to put their art into a public space when that art is weird, or dark, or taboo, or something that will be considered unacceptable by the puritanical fandom police.
I need tiktokers to understand that ao3 has been home for the freaks (affectionate) ever since the day it was created. the entire site was created because “dark and fucked up fics” were banned and removed from other platforms, so us freaks came together and created a site for other freaks — a site where nothing is censored, a site with no algorithm, no capitalism, no ads, and again, absolutely no censorship.
this has been our house for decades. you newbies don’t come into our house and tell us how to arrange our furniture. either be nice and respect our house, or leave and build your own house elsewhere.
sam is about to hook up with a woman in a motel room and she asks how big his dick is and he’s like “oh haha um I’ve never measured” but then from the next motel bed dean is just like “it’s 8.6 inches.”
A wave of spambot guest comments claiming to be AO3 volunteers has recently been made across the site. They claim that there has been a data breach and that fraudulent password reset emails have been sent out. In addition, the harassment spambots are now accusing users of being sex offenders.
These claims are not true. These comments are not being made by real AO3 volunteers or users, and AO3 has not experienced a data breach.
These comments copy existing AO3 usernames in order to make their accusations seem more legitimate. They may also try to lure people onto other platforms, similar to the art commission scam.
AO3 volunteers will never communicate with you through guest comments on your work. All important communications from AO3 about your account will be sent via email. More general announcements will be posted on our official social media accounts or published as news posts on AO3 or OTW.org.
If you want to make sure you're doing everything possible to protect yourself and your accounts, our Policy & Abuse volunteers published a news post earlier this year with advice about internet safety best practices: Protect Your AO3 Account.
As always, we recommend that you do not click on any suspicious links or give your contact information to scammers. Instead, simply mark the comments as spam or report them so that Policy & Abuse can remove other comments left by these spambots.
If you aren't sure how to mark guest comments as spam, learn how to handle them below the cut!
As these comments have so far all been from guests, our advice is to flag them as spam to better filter them out. To do that, simply follow the instructions below:
If the comment is on your own work:
Go directly to the comment on your work, either by clicking on the link in your email or in your AO3 inbox.
Click on the "Spam" button to mark the guest comment as spam and remove it from your work.
Note: The "Spam" button only appears when viewing a guest comment directly on your work. This is because the AO3 comment inbox is merely a copy of the work's comments – deleting a comment from your AO3 inbox does not delete the comment from the work itself.
If you see comments like these on someone else's work:
Feel free to let the creator know the comment is from a bot, and that they should mark it as spam.
You can also report the comments as botspam via the Policy Questions & Abuse Reports form linked at the bottom of every page on AO3.
If you are reporting multiple guest comments, please submit only one report, and include all comment links in your report description. (You can get the direct link to any comment by clicking the "Thread" button on the comment, and then copying the URL of that page.)
If you're not sure if something is a spambot comment, you're welcome to contact Policy & Abuse for assistance. Refer to the original post for more information!
