Diana in Remnant is just a goddamn magical girl and iām living for it
Harley & Ivy
This is why I love them!
Harley is an abuse survivor of course sheād wreck this dude!!!
Can I just say how much I love the implications here? Harley and Ivy are known public figures. People know who they are, and recognize them. And this kid knows that, despite being violent criminals, theyāre safe enough to go to for protection. Ivy is dead certain that the Batfamily will be okay with them intervening to protect a kid. That has some intersting implications - either she knows damn well where the lines lie and that this is overriding enough to get her a pass, or (more likely, given the first bit) this has come up before.
one of my favorite tropes is villains acting heroically not because the other villain is a threat to them or because it benefits them, but because they have standards
^^^ Thatās the good shit right there
Always reblog protector Harley and Ivy
I think this illustrates that there is sometimes a separation between the types of villains. There are some villains who have little to no redeeming qualities like Joker and then you have whatās shown in this panel. Two of the most infamous villains with the mindset of, āWait a minute! No, you donāt hurt children! Theyāre off limits!ā
This (official) story is in the anthology series Batman: Black and White. Fourth volume of the series, third issue, printed 2013. Written by Paul Dini himself and drawn by Stephane Roux.
and it has an even happier ending!
I love this????
Thanks for adding the ending!
fuck, now Iām crying
just because you fed your kid and put a roof over their head doesnāt mean you succeeded as a parent lmao if your child cannot navigate adult life in a healthy way you have failed. if your child has such deep self worth issues thanks to decades of you only focusing on what they were doing wrong, you failed. if you tell your child that having money is more important than happiness and doing what you want in life, youāre a fucking failure.
Well I feel called out as a child...
I got real petty over on the Facebook page and IT WAS GLORIOUS.
This is me, going to check out Legendary Books nowā¦

<3
I literally donāt have the space for any more physical books, but Iāve downloaded every Underrealm book on Kindle. I read The Alchemistās Touch specifically because of this post and I seriously canāt recommend the Underrealm books enough. they are absolutely fantastic.
I donāt really read anymore, not like i used to. And of i get a masters this year like i am planning to then that isnāt going to change. But hell yes Iām going to go and buy these books because THIS is exactly the kind of thing that i want to support!
YISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
One day I will have a job and a bank account and I will have money from the job in the bank account and I will use some of the money to purchase these books
HEY TUMBLR

Stick your entire face into a fantasy adventure where two kickass lesbians of color magic the shit out of every asshole they see
Support a queer disabled author
And do it for a buck.
A BUCK
And this is INTERNATIONAL
Send this sucker up the bestseller charts
A bunch of people out there donāt think books like this can ever be successful.
Fucken prove them wrong, babes.
I made this into a video:
Hey, weāve now got some pride shirts if thatās your thing:
You can choose your role: KNIGHT, RANGER, THIEF, or WIZARD, and every one comes with iconography drawn from our books.
And then we created shirts for every queer identity we could think of:
Bi Knight? Got you covered. Trans Thief? Youāre in there. Pan Wizard? Yup. Agender Ranger? Absolutely.
And if we missed your identity or your flag, just message me. Iāll get it added ASAP.
Half of all profits go to our designer, an awesome local queer dude.
The other half go towards editing, covers, and production of future queer books by queer authors.
Checkāem out, babes!
Another good fantasy book to read is Emperorās Edge by Lindsey Buroker! The main character is a badass female and while her world is dominated by males she doesnāt let that stop her. She kicks ass and is the boss
Lindsay is a fellow indie author and an absolute wonder. Iāve enjoyed every book of hers Iāve ever read, and sheās a delight to speak to.
As far as it goes for indie authors with kickass queer books, everyone should check out Dreadnought and Sovereign by April Daniels. They are two books in a trilogy about a trans girl who becomes a superhero and obtains her dream body through weirdly magical means. They are great books and I love my feral trans daughter Danny.
Oh also she kicks terfs in the face. If that doesnāt sell it I donāt know what will.
April Danielsā books are the single most captivating books Iāve read this year. I sat down in my chair intending to startĀ DreadnoughtĀ and then I stayed up till 3AM to read it in one sitting.Ā
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE, go read it.
