one thing that absolutely murdered me reading phm was how after grace n rocky separate and head towards to their respective planets, for ages afterwards grace sets aside a brief period each day where he kills the engines on the hail mary so he can fire up the petrovascope and look back at the IR light from rocky's ship. and he does this so consistently that after the taumoeba-burrowing-through-xenonite crisis, he still knows roughly where Rocky's at and that his ship was still functional up until pretty recently, because he's been checking on him every day 😭

I was thinking about post canon Stampgaze Vashwood and them traveling together, gaining that sillier dynamic the two have in the other iterations with Wolfwood being a little shit to mess with Vash and I realized something about it that I have to share
