this year's mysore dasara will be inaugurated by a Muslim and by someone who, in the past, has insulted the hindus. A formal plea against the decision was sent to the high court but they ruled it in her favour. later the decision was challenged in the supreme court and the way they carelessly dismissed the case as if irritated that we even approached them is making my blood boil
Until now I didn't react to this decision because I thought it's Maa's decision to let her inaugurate the festival but the way we're being sent away from all the courts is pissing me off. The judge literally ended the case saying 'we have already dismissed the case three times. how many more time do you want us to do it?' bitch I'll beat you with my chappal. I am so angry right now
The supreme court needs to be dismantled. This can't go on
Imagine if it was the other way around, there was Eid celebration and inauguration of something important to Muslims and a Hindu, who had previously said "we Hindus do not believe in Allah and prophet Muhammed", was about to go inaugurate. First of all, that Hindu wouldn't have the audacity and try to insert him/herself in someone else's celebrations, secondly, Muslims wouldn't have allowed it at best and at worst they would have threatened with sar taan se juda.
Lately, Indian American anthropologist Radhika Govindarajan wrote an article about "ecofascism and deterritorialization of South Asian Muslims by the Hindu right-wing". Let me just post a now deleted post that paraphrased the article.
Govindarajan writes that "Hindu right-wing discourse presents Hindus as attuned to and inseparable from an animated, enchanted ecology, and construct Muslims as out-of-place, to be displaced from this now Hindu geological area".
This Indian American brown sepoy savarna feminist anthropologist Govindarajan privated her account after a Hindu woman posted screenshots of news articles of cases where Islamist jihadists (aka the sons of soils and pookie pets of Indian leftist marxist liberals) have cut down sacred banyan trees, burned down temples (thus destroying the ecological biodiversity) and poisoned Hindus' fish ponds in order to destroy their livelihoods and drive them away from their land. Why did I mention this? Because Indian leftist liberando marxists say how "Hindus are deterritorializing the Muslims", when it is the Indian subcontinent's Islamist jihadists who are actually deterritorializing the actual native Hindus at an industrial level since Gazni and Ghori invaded India. And it is the Indian leftists marxists that come up with a made up rhetoric copy-pasted from the western anti-colonial discourse, give intellectual cover to Islamist jihadism in the subcontinent and refuse to listen to Hindus who try to talk about the real life incidents that have happened against Hindus, and they reject Hindus pre-existing connection to the soil, nature and tradition they were born to. Banu Mushtaq, who doesn't believe in "idol worship" can continue to be shameless, at the end of the day it is Maa who will ultimately decide to show mercy. What I'm irked with is the Indian brown sahibs telling Hindus that their religion is fundamentally wrong, and so it's okay that a person who doesn't belong to that tradition and doesn't believe in that tradition gets to occupy space in that Hindu event.
Also, why do these Hinduphobes and brown sepoys have beautiful names like Radhika (🥲), Arundhati, Nivedita, etc. 😭
literally 90% of our religious festivals happen at prime seasonal changes and she says that it's a narrative of ecofascism?
where else do you celebrate the new year during spring with colours which famously represents new beginnings (holi)? where else do you celebrate the festival of lights during the darkest night of the year (diwali)? where else do you celebrate the lengthening of the days and end of winter marking agricultural prosperity (makar sankranti)?
celebrations like chhatt puja help in communal harmony because everyone's fasting and getting together and arranging dolchis. nag panchami and vasant panchami's relevance in hindu society speak of the importance of pollinators in our ecosystem. i mean, the vedas literally say that our ecosystem's conservation is sacred and essential to human life!
pointing out religious significance of the environment and how we're commanded to conserve it is not ecofascism, its literally how to live in harmony with nature where both parties are in a mutualistic relationship as opposed to predatory or parasitic ones.
This all the way. Hindu festivals are great equalisers. This year, X app has been running some narrative that muslims were prevented from Garba. I don't know how much of that is true or if it's some narrative war but even muslims or christians were never barred from Hindu festivals, historically some muslims did participate in pujas until their reform movements (Faraizi, Barelvi, Deobandi etc.)
no, muslims have definitely not been allowed into garba this year in many spots after the whole attempted rape of girls thing that happened last year. i think there were threats of ghar waapsi too
if they wanna dance so badly they can have dance events during ramzan or eid. why infiltrate our events?
