I love this because I’ll be watching a movie and think “how did they do that? Is that a building they built for this movie? Was it there beforehand? Is it cardboard or CGI? Is that actually some place on Earth that they’re filming?” And the answer to all of these now is “nope, that’s a painting”. I can’t believe some of the most iconic, familiar shots were paintings!

I forget that there are fandom podlings and fully grown adults who, thanks to the way Lucasfilm shuffled stuff for the prequels and then again with the Disney purchase, have never seen the matte paintings. And they are glorious, amazing things.
The CGI bullshit additions came later, and it was completely fuckin’ unnecessary.

For Traitor: neck retraction exercise. While lying in bed with your head flat against the mattress, give yourself the biggest double chin you can. Repeat 10 times.
For Jackass: stop hiking your shoulders up to your ears. This is pretty much a stress thing, it’s human instinct to protect our neck when we’re under stress so that predators can’t get at it. Easiest way to do that is be elevating the shoulders, so. Periodically take not of where your shoulders are at.
Absolute Fuckwaffle: stretch out your chest. The rhomboids on the back work to keep our shoulder blades back, so when we’re hunched forward they are constantly straining to do their job. Unfortunately it’s not as simple as telling you to stand up straight, since our pectorals get chronically tight and prevent us from doing so. Step one: pectoral stretches. Hold for at least 20 seconds.
Asshole: Superman exercises. Like the rhomboids, the ESGs are straining against the slump. Stretching the chest will help them, too, but then you e got to strengthen your back. Do 20 of those per day.

Hey everybody! My name is Tobias. I’m a trans guy who is turning 28 later this month. I have a debilitating combination of mental health issues that are preventing me from working. Right now I’m in a partial hospitalization program after a recent discharge from inpatient psychiatric care. I’m throwing my all into my recovery, but it is really slow going, as some of you may know.

I meet the minimum qualifications of ‘disabled’ by definition and then some, but proving that case is of course very difficult. I have better odds than some due to the overwhelming amount of documentation that will be provided in my appeal. I’ve had three hospitalizations, three PHPs including the one in progress, and a new diagnosis since I initially applied. In addition to this new information, my care team has been able to track down further documentation that this is a chronic condition and is not likely to change within twelve months, in addition to the length of time that I have already gone where I am not able to earn substantial gainful employment.
I have tried really hard not to do this but I am at the point where I need some outside help. I have done my best to keep this within my support network but we just can’t do it ourselves anymore. I know that I am asking for a lot but I truly wouldn’t if I didn’t need the help. Please reblog even if you can’t contribute.
