Wasp.
A friendship since 1999, which never changes but continues where it has been paused. Lots of laughs with dad. Sinful dining here and there. Successful commission. Like in the old times.
Abroad.
Nose piercing. Dad. Traffic. Driving in traffic. A good diagnosis.
Hearts.
Excited about my new phone. Lovely tempo ride in Zwift. Travel soon. Still my Filofax. Colourful salad.
[MEMORY] The park.
Those days of weekends when me and my dad went out to the park.
Sunday afternoons were the best, because not much other kids were there that time, and I could try the slides, climbs, swings etc. alone, without being stressed by the others.
Walking around with dad, eating ice cream, viewing the shop fronts at the nearby shopping centre; and even those little shops were always closed on Sundays, we viewed all of them from outside, talking, having fun.
And as time passed: learn to ride a scooter, a bike, roller skating, ride a motorbike and finally learn to drive a car in that park.
All of these in a time when I didn't know disappointment, drama, lies, unfairness, hormones, cruelty and people yet. Best days of my life, and will never forget. And even if I will forget because I lose my mind, having Alzheimer or dementia, let these memories be here, glowing in the dark.
Windy.
Fish and Chips adventures. New sale. A saved painting. This Filofax!? My other half brought me some Victoria cakes.
Optimum
Feeling of freedom. St. John's Wort. Refreshing evening air (yes, again). Pay rise - at least it is rise, not freeze. My Filofax.
[NEGATIVE POST ALERT] Vent out.
Let me collect my thoughts for a little bit.
No, darlings, a manager is not only for manage. A manager who doesn't know the profession what he / she needs to manage - sooner or later will be a clown only. Actually is a clown...
Yes, nowadays the hardest thing to do successfully in a workplace is simply doing the bloody job.
Yes, instead of people, only the fashion of generating huge sh_tstorm of fake buzzwords is thriving. Not you, not me, the buzzwords only.
No, we don't need meetings three times a week with the same team about the same subjects, with a different title. No. Unless you want to take away expensive working hours from your own business.
No, we don't need to force a well-selling and expensive project management method on a team with three members. If I remember what "common sense" means, so do you.
No, organising team building events or weekends won't make the team working better. No one wants to be handled as toddler for a weekend, building castles from toilet rolls or go treasure hunting all around the city for "fun". Literally no one.
No, I don't want to show even a little slice of my home (a. k. a. my personal life) to you via video call. I know you are very curious, but please don't force it, let's focus on the job.
Yes please, if I ask you to keep an information (like death of a relative) private, because I don't want anyone to ask idiot questions; PLEASE don't broadcast it via your meetings anyway.
No, boss, I don't want to be on social media. I know it would make the "getting to know each other" timeline shorter, and based on my uploads you could judge me and think you know me, but no. I won't make your life easier, because I appreciate others' privacy too. Like yours.
No, I didn't do the "Couch to 5K". I do workouts regularly instead.
No, completing expensive five slide courses and having colourful certificates of disability, LGBTQ, Black Lives Matter, etc. will not make you a better person automatically. Again, common sense.
No, I don't want to have an office pet. We have enough chimps, rats, snakes and bitches around anyway.
PS for extra points: Can you tell me when will we start doing the actual job please?
Thanks for now. To be continued.
Warm sand.
Realising that after 5 years I moved to the UK, I live 20 minutes from a beach with sand, a not-as-cold-as-I-thought sea and finally opportunity to learn surfing and pedalboarding. Floating on the warm top. Not a cloud on the sky. Childhood memories. Playing Boules.
Leather.
Treats, and more treats. Vegan barbecue. Completed craft projects. My custom made Filofax compatible journal. Summer evening.
Friday
Friday. My other half's humour. Fresh, cool air after watering the garden. Peppermint. A really good cod & chips.
Escape
Amazing, refreshing bike ride after rotting at the work laptop all day. Lazy cat with big paws enjoying the summer afternoon sun. Lemonade, oh cold lemonade. Sketching together ideas of my custom made Filofax. The eyes of my other half.
Titles
Ah yeah. Calling my posts which are about daily five happy / positive things or happenings "Daily Five" all the time is boring, eh? Right. On it.
Daily Five
A big glass of cold hazelnut milk. Warm but refreshing draught. Starting ER S11. I know, I know, but one week after giving up my Fitbit, still no weight gain! Cute little lambs resting at the gates of the farm.
Daily Five
Highly appreciated office rats will like this: moving from open office to our own. Vegan Magnum - the salted caramel one. Funny wonky carrots. Application to a craft fair. Still that Amorphis song which doesn't want to leave my brain.
