first of all the image you want to upload MUST be hosted somewhere. this basically just means uploaded to a platform (you could use imgur, or even just upload it to tumblr)
1: copy the image link of the image you want to post
2: start a new work on ao3 or go to edit an existing work. change the text setting from html to rich text from the options above the main text box where the body of your work goes
3: click on the option to insert the image
4: paste the image URL you copied earlier where it says source (you can also adjust the height/width if you so desire)
5: press save and voila
alternatively you can copy this html to the ao3 text box without switching to the rich text version
and delete the IMAGE URL GOES HERE (do not delete any of the quotation marks) and replace it with your image url. you can also change the width or height by just changing those numbers at the end between the qoutation marks :)))
**note if you want to put an image in the notes or summary you have to do the alternative method as you can't use rich text

hate going to the doctors with persistent debilitating symptoms and then then they call you with the results which is just like good news! your blood is red
it’s so frustrating to have normal lab results as a chronically ill person because now people can just tell me everything is fine and I’m normal but actually this is the worst news ever because that means I have to be sick until I get worse enough to be taken seriously
For those who don’t know me, my name is Alaa. I’m a husband and a father from Gaza, and I’m so grateful to be raising two beautiful children, Maram, our lovely 6-year-old daughter, and Ayman, our energetic 3-year-old boy. We are also eagerly anticipating the arrival of our third child, a baby girl, who is due in just a couple of months. My wife is seven months pregnant, and while we’re filled with excitement, we’re also feeling the weight of the challenges ahead.
One of the things we’ve been discussing is what to name our new daughter. We wanted something that feels similar to Maram, but we’re still undecided. There are so many lovely names that could be perfect for her, and we’d really appreciate any suggestions or advice.
That said, choosing a name is the least of our worries right now. The reality of preparing for our baby’s arrival in the middle of a war is overwhelming. We have no baby clothes, no mattress, and with the current war, basic necessities like diapers and baby formula have become unaffordable for us.
I’m thrilled and thankful that we’re expecting a new addition to our family, but as a father, the fear and worry about how we’ll care for her, along with our two other children, are constant. We are displaced from our home, I’ve lost my job, and our savings have run out. Every day, I wonder how I will protect and provide for my family in these impossible circumstances.

yo hey US people who sent in absentee ballots, they are tossing mail-in ballots for no reason. i just had to call my county board of elections and demand a cure for my ballot because north carolina didn't send out any notices of issues with ballots, and the issues are fake. if you voted by mail-in make sure your ballot was actually counted
