Both were filled at the same time with the same water, only one had oysters.
:/ The next time you think it’s okay to be nonbinary, remember the cost. We are killing our planet 😔
Wtf. No, be who you are. This doesn’t define you.
I offer some context
that context was DESPERATELY needed thank you

do NOT under any circumstances touch this post
🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀
me totally innocent just looking at this post^
did you touch the post. you can tell me
Living in a town of car nuts I've noticed that there's two schools of thought on car passion projects:
"I've looked forever for this car and I've finally found it in a restorable condition so I'm gonna spend thousands of dollars and several years of my life painstakingly restoring it to a point where it looks like it's brand new"
"I just picked up this shitty old beater in a junkyard for $50 and I'm gonna do the stupidest shit imaginable to it and laugh as I drive it around and see people cringe as I pass"
And both are very valid
Like the first one will give you something like this:
Beautifully restored to a perfect condition and it looks like it just rolled out of the factory despite it being decades old. The owner will kill you and your family if you scratch the paint at all
And the latter will give you shit like this:
This dude just said "can I put a boat engine in a car" and went and did it and it's glorious. Probably doesn't drive fast but it drives and that's all that matters
the car in the second pic has an immaculate aura
you forgot the best part tho
(via @butchmuppet)
no lie, the second half of this post really helped me put a different perspective on my life and greatly the decreased the anxiety i have about my life to come
tbh if someone just handed me a pressure washer and set me loose in the streets i would go into a trance and just start hosing shit down indiscriminately. it's not a question of how much i could clean, but how long until i get hit by a car and die
i wanna talk about this shot
if forum signatures still existed this would be mine
A lot of people ask me what my biggest fear is, or what scares me most. And I know they expect an answer like heights, or closed spaces, or people dressed like animals, but how do I tell them that when I was 17 I took a class called Relationships For Life and I learned that most people fall out of love for the same reasons they fell in it. That their lover’s once endearing stubbornness has now become refusal to compromise and their one track mind is now immaturity and their bad habits that you once adored is now money down the drain. Their spontaneity becomes reckless and irresponsible and their feet up on your dash is no longer sexy, just another distraction in your busy life. Nothing saddens and scares me like the thought that I can become ugly to someone who once thought all the stars were in my eyes.
this fucks me up every single time
I never expected this to be my most popular poem out of the hundreds I’ve written. I was extremely bitter and sad when I wrote this and I left out the most beautiful part of that class.
After my teacher introduced us to this theory, she asked us, “is love a feeling? Or is it a choice?” We were all a bunch of teenagers. Naturally we said it was a feeling. She said that if we clung to that belief, we’d never have a lasting relationship of any sort.
She made us interview a dozen adults who were or had been married and we asked them about their marriages and why it lasted or why it failed. At the end, I asked every single person if love was an emotion or a choice.
Everybody said that it was a choice. It was a conscious commitment. It was something you choose to make work every day with a person who has chosen the same thing. They all said that at one point in their marriage, the “feeling of love” had vanished or faded and they weren’t happy. They said feelings are always changing and you cannot build something that will last on such a shaky foundation.
The married ones said that when things were bad, they chose to open the communication, chose to identify what broke and how to fix it, and chose to recreate something worth falling in love with.
The divorced ones said they chose to walk away.
Ever since that class, since that project, I never looked at relationships the same way. I understood why arranged marriages were successful. I discovered the difference in feelings and commitments. I’ve never gone for the person who makes my heart flutter or my head spin. I’ve chosen the people who were committed to choosing me, dedicated to finding something to adore even on the ugliest days.
I no longer fear the day someone who swore I was their universe can no longer see the stars in my eyes as long as they still choose to look until they find them again.
This is so fucking important and I think it’s something I needed right now
me after i fuck

I wanna talk about Magic. What are y'all's favorite gameplay stories?
Drafted a box of Eternal Masters; friend used Sneak Attack (R: play a creature for free, it gains haste, sac at end of turn) to cheat out a T5 Worldgorger Dragon (etb exile all other permanent you control, ltb return them). I killed it with the ETB trigger on the stack.
also i once got a timesifter* lock against my sibling by milling them, but had no way to actually kill them with my infinite turns, and died to mill myself.
*at the beginning of each upkeep, each player exiles the top card of their library. the player who exiled the highest MV takes an extra turn after this one.
Was playing a game of commander with 6 people, I wasn't confident I'd survive another turn cycle so I decided to do as much damage as I could on my way out. I started combing off with sacrificing Squee, the Immortal and having Purphoros out but didn't have enough damage to just win the game. My friend chaos warps purphoros to survive and while I'm shuffling I say "Well the only way that turns out bad is if I flip phyrexian altar" the whole table gets worried, I finish shuffling and present for the cut. They make the guy who cast chaos warp cut. He taps it, I flip altar, pop off, and win the game.
One game my buddy (Playing Kroxa) kept a one lander and goes T1 "Ancient Tomb, Mana crypt, sol ring, rakdos signet" passes to me and just Mountain, vandalblast Signet and that seemingly insignificant play basically killed him that game. I was crying laughing when it happened 🤣
I think like, the death of Vine and Rabbit, Wikipedia constantly needing to beg for money, Discord depending so heavily on venture capital, Facebook turning towards spying on users to generate a return on all the venture capital that got them started, Adobe creative suite turning into a subscription rather than a single product you buy, the strangulation of streaming entertainment as every company pulls their content and makes it exclusive to their service, are all great examples of how like, it really doesn't matter if something is legitimately useful, efficient, or beloved, it is next to impossible for a service to exist if it doesn't make shareholders increasing amounts of money year after year. Which may seem like a "no duh" type of statement, but it's a very simple window into how the profit motive makes products and services worse, not better. And how that's not just a matter of certain companies or ceos being bad and greedy on an individual level, but is an inescapable factor of an economy where existence is dependent on generating capital.
A series of events:
1. I put in an Annual Leave request form almost 3 weeks ago and my boss has not approved it yet
2. I went into my office today and replaced every single writing utensil with crayons in preparation for April Fools Day on Monday
3. Whilst searching for pens to remove, I found my unsigned Annual Leave form in my boss’s drawer
4. I placed my unsigned Annual Leave form in a photo frame and put in on his desk
5. The frame I used was from a photo of his kids that I deemed less important than my Leave form
6. My boss sometimes goes into the office on Saturdays to work
7.
I appreciate the context of 1-6 or else 7 might have had some very concerning implications.
Unmute !
a strong contender for 2021 post of the year
