good morning perverts in my phone make sure to be a weird freak today 👍🏼
how funny tadc may be the show that defines the existential dilemma of the late 2020s. no wonder so many people deeply resonate with its theme of finding autonomy among the insane circumstances they find themselves in, very much paralleling our real world as we know it. zooble was actively mourning the future they always hoped for themselves, that they wanted to leave their mark on the world. to abandon that felt like betrayal of the self, proving to others their own worth with something to offer. tadc came at the right time where a lot of people are questioning what autonomy they have in this world. many feel robbed of opportunities and missing important life milestones from the pandemic, all while AI continues to pose as a serious threat to our livelihoods on a very fundamental level. for the characters in the digital circus, radically accepting the situation does not mean it is any less of a shitty one, but moreso poses the question: so things didn’t go as planned, how will you live your life? build and strengthen connections with those around you and you’ll foster hope with every exchange. in turn, you inspire them to keep living, day by day.
sick of dragon games not letting me HOARD
had a fascinating english class that resulted in the notes header “the forcefeminization of victor frankenstein”
what the people want, the people get
you see
my professor’s take is that mary shelley is feminizing victor throughout the novel, as a way of flipping gender roles and putting a male character through female experiences.
evidence as explained:
victor is creating life. he is putting his health at risk (spends two years with little sleep or socialization) to bring life forth into this world
his illness after he is shocked by the creature coming to life is akin to both ‘hysteria’ and postpartum depression
he pretty much swoons, let’s be honest
henry clerval, a man who has been characterized as manly and heroic, has to chase after damsel-in-distress victor and care for him as he convalesces
afterward, he hides what he did and went through, for fear that others will label him crazy and emotional and not believe him. sound familiar?
Victor in general is more emotional than the other characters and is constantly tempering his reactions to not be seen as irrational
the book does not otherwise have central female characters
Also, Shelley’s mother died in childbirth. It’s interesting, then, that Shelley presents the creation of life as something horrific and damaging. She parallels Victor with her mother.
in conclusion, Frankenstein (1818) by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley is one of the first examples of mpreg in English literature
how your 20s feel when you dont know what ur doing
i've been obsessed with this video so i downloaded the video file off of youtube so even if the internet goes down i can always watch frogtimelapse.mp4
so yes he has a six year long total nervous breakdown over a divorce which does seem kind of unwarranted on the surface but the thing is that his breakdown wasn't just because of his fiance leaving him, it's because he's lived for four decades in this absolutely untenable state of being on the coattails of the revolution. the fact that dora even has the choice to pack up and fly away and leave behind the poverty and disability and addiction and misery and, as he imagines her saying, "leave him alone in hell forever" while he has no hope of ever leaving revachol or becoming anything more than what he is is what causes the breakdown just as much as her making that choice. and so that's why he sees her as dolores dei right, like yes it's because he deifies her but it's not just that, because dolores dei isn't just some ambiguous religious figure, she's specifically the innocence of moralism and the welfare state and interisolary travel. it's not dora that failed harry, it's the world that failed harry, and because dora was able to escape and moralism and the welfare state and interisolary travel were able to save her in a way they never saved him, he projects all the ways the world has failed him onto her. like harry has this breakdown because the woman he loved (rightfully) left him yes but also harry has this breakdown because he was born into poverty in a military hospital and he got polio as a child and never quite got better and all his childhood friends are dead of car accidents and drug overdoses and he's lived his entire life under a form of capitalism that allows for no self-determination, no political representation, no upward mobility. so when she leaves him it's not just a broken heart that does him in, it's the culmination of a lifetime of misery that he falsely blames her for because she was able to escape. you feel me. and that's why his breakdown is so insane and massive and disproportionate and that's why he sees her as god you feel me. like love did him in but capitalism killed him. right
like it's interesting that when we see dora in the dream we're not seeing her on the day that she left harry, right? like I can't imagine she left him and then left for mirova on the same day. and we see her with her suitcases packed on her way to the aerodrome. we're not seeing her in the moment she left harry we're seeing her in the moment she left REVACHOL

Just want to make sure people are aware that the artist is on ArtStation and many of these, including the longing stare at witch one, are in fact for sale as prints for highly reasonable prices - the cheapest option being an 8 by 12 art poster for 18 US dollars (plus shipping).
HERE’S HIS WEBSITE
Not only will you get to see the hilarious names of these works but usually a short story and a detailed look at his work progress!
He also does a lot of werewolf art which I adore!

yeah I have political reasons for it now but my original and still most powerful reason is "I am not getting out of this bed one single second before I have to"
