Me: *minding my business by playing HSR*
Person: Neat, that's that well-known game like Genshin Impact, right?
Person: What games do you play other than that?
Me: oh, I play a wide variety of games like Genshin Impact, ZZZ (Zenless Zone Zero), WuWa (Wuthering Waves), HoK (Honor of Kings), MLBB (Mobile Legends Bang Bang), FNAF, Undertale, Deltarune-
Person: Oh, that's neat... Do you only play on your PC and/or phone/tablet?
Me: Well, I used to have a console, but it belonged to my parents, so they took it with them when they moved out.
Person: Are you planning to buy one?
Me: For now, no, because I'm fine with what I have atm.
Person: Neat, what games did you play?
Me: A lot like Assassin's Creed, Alice Madness returns, Minecraft, Bioshock, HALO Infinite, Fable, Skyrim, The Walking Dead, Final Fantasy Lightning returns, and many other games that I can't remember...
Person: Wow, that's a lot... Aren't you a bit worried about how others' opinions about a woman playing those kinds of games?
Me: Uh, no? They're my preferences. I play those games because I like them and some are part of my childhood but also they're fun.
Person: I dunno, I mean... You're a girl-
Me: Oh, so me being a girl is the problem?
Me: You just said it. You know, people should really mind their business when it comes to people's preferences in games even if some of them are very questionable, but, hey, that's their choice. People should stop determining what game males, females, non-binary, etc. should play just because of their gender. People also have to stop bullying and/or making fun of others just because the game this person chose is not as "cool" or "famous" as the ones they picked because not EVERYONE likes the same type of games. Some may like fast-paced games or the slow ones, some may like games that have deep lore or not, some may like single-player games while some multiplayer, some may like the classics while some the new that's just how it is. Games were made so that people could have fun and, even, make a living out of it by either posting videos of them playing on social media, making a walkthrough, or becoming game developers themselves. So, to cut it short, butt the fck out.
