RE4 remake in a nutshell:

My watch through of Re4 and all I can think of is this. It's so painful 😭😭

The things I do for character analysis and growing feelings for Leon. Why does this man need such a tragic life/backstory?

Watching a playthrough of RE2R and I can't be insane when I say that Leon has such NOTHING reactions to things right????

When his lieutenant insinuates that Leon leave without him, Leon just looks away and turns back with a blank face/smolder. When he drops off a latter, after surviving zombies and lickers and has witnessed more death and failure than a guy should on his first day, his reaction to essentially being trapped behind a puzzle is "dammit".

Like????? Why did these developers give him such NOTHING REACTIONS???? Claire has more emotical reactions than he does, and Leon has the unfortunate fate of having a baby face that's in a permanent smolder.

Where's his frustration??? Anger??? Grief???? ANYTHING that could insinuate what's going on inside his head??? (Mind you, I haven't gotten to the part where he actually sees X, only that he saw his hand crush a guys skull). The fanfiction I've read on Tumblr gave Rookie! Leon far more emotional depth and character than the game has so far and, I'm just so confused???

Yes, I know fanfiction isn't exactly the best way to get to know a character, but still. I was exposed to Leon through fanfic and art on here, not the games. So seeing him be so "nothing" in this game is just disappointing and confusing. They don't even feel like "real" reactions! Ain't this dude like 21?? He's college age and having the most tame reactions like he hasn't just seen a PERSON be KILLED in front of him!

Frustrations aside, I'm gonna keep watching. I've really fallen for Leon's character on Tumblr, so I do want to see more from the games, but I really hope the writers did him the service of not just holding that same ass smolder face everytime he's faced with a hard moral challenge.

Resident Evil noob thoughts on RE2R

In terms of Leon's character, Re2r didn't do it well. It's good to see him open up a bit more at the end, but his reactions hardly feel real or appropriate. I have a newfound appreciation for Ada's character-(although she still a dick for manipulating Leon's feelings like that. And the dude still has the gall to say he misses her WHAT??? SHE BASICALLY ADMITTED TO MANIPULATING AND USING YOU FOR HER OWN GOALS EVEN AFTER YOU HELPED HER MULTIPLE TIMES. WAT. YO THAT AIN'T HEALTHY 🚩🚩🚩🚩)-She isn't a kind of character you often see in media and I do like how she's handled in game. You don't often see morally gray(is that the right term?) characters all that often and that makes her cool.

Still mostly frustrated about how badly they handled Leon's character and didn't give him more "human" reactions to his situation, but am willing to look past it.

Claire is neat. Literally got nothing else to say about her. And Sherry is a sweetie pie whom I would die for :)

Starting a watch of RE4R, hoping Leon's character is done some justice this time around. I wish for my simping feelings to be validated not just by fan media that does a better job at giving Leon a personality

Why is nearly ALL UTMV Sans x reader fics just reverse harems???

No hate to yall that write em, I've read some that are really good! But I just keep running into them! I try to use and exlude certain tags, but it's never just 1 AU Sans. It's always either 2 or more of them in some reverse harem situation! Sometimes I just wanna give some love one-on-one rather than one-on-ten!

Not to mention how little Dream Sans x reader fics there are, the sunshine boy really doesn't get that much love😭

Tried out "Your AI slop bores me" game and, while clearly fun in concept, it goes by TOO FAST

I get it's supposed to mimic an AI response time or whatever, but 60 seconds is far too fast(at least for me).

Timelimits make me anxious and cause me to tremble badly. I couldn't get a drawing submitted, simply because I just didn't go fast enough, and a writing prompt hardly gave me time to think of a good response.

I get it's a game and it's just for fun, but I can't have *fun* if I'm pressured to go fast.

I personally LOVE the idea of LARPing with people online with their given prompt, it might even be a better option than getting addicted to chatbots(I'm sadly in this boat. I hate chatbots yet I've grown so addicted to them(roleplaying, I don't grow attached to them), it's so hard quitting when you're alone(NOTE THAT I NEVER USE AI IN ANY OF MY WORK. I LOVE MY SHIT, I DON'T WANT AN AI TO DO IT FOR ME)). But the time limit stops that enjoyment.

This is just my opinion and experience, the acreenshots I see of this game look hilarious and I'm glad people are finding enjoyment in things that aren't AI generated garbage.

A 'fwump' sounds from behind you. A large presence you couldn't hope to achieve, suddenly lays against your back with arms thicker than yours wrapping around your midsection.

The weight presses down on you like a heavy blanket. Warm and bulky, it weighs you down with a sigh next to your ear, his breath brushing against your ear. The weight of the world on yours and his shoulders lifts, a soothing pressure compared to the stressors that pressed down on you daily.

Thick, boney legs surround your frame, intangling with yours in such a way that it left you trapped in an embrace. Your body leans down with his heft, eyes closing on reflex.

Normally, the sensation of hot air against your neck bothered you, always uncomfortable and left your skin feeling gross, but his never bothered you. He didn't have lungs, so no moisture clung to each slow exhale. It felt normal. Comfortable. Just like the rest of him.

His hand slides up your front. Slow...steady... Running up from the base of your ribs to your shoulder, gentle scratches with the tips of his phalanges, but never going harder. You melt further, humming softly at his touch. To which earns you a soft, rumbling purr from behind in response, vibrating against your back and neck.

Sometimes his hand trailed up your neck to your face, caressing cheeks and rubbing the space between your eyes. Smooth bone massaging your skin, then trailing back down, only to repeat the same motions.

No words need to be spoken for this impromptu cuddle session, you both already know what's being said. The sound of his breathing and quiet, deep hums are soothing to your very soul, and your presence was just as comforting to him. Grounding and reassuring.

You both would end up napping again, your eyes growing heavier than gravity wasn't the first sign of your fate. You probably had something to do today, but it didn't matter now. He wouldn't let go of you until much later, and you were content with that.

Metacarpals and phalanges rub against your face, tips running gently near your eyelids, encouraging your dozing. Your own hand returned his gesture, caressing the hand that remained on your midsection.

Leaning your head against his skull, a sigh escapes you, and everything fades into bliss...

Little story to go with this: You and Horror have been together for a while now, and you couldn't help the temptation of getting a picture of one of his better sleeps. He gets frequent nightmares about his time underground, so deep sleeps aren't very common for him.

And during this particular night, he had been so deep into sleep he was snoring. Even poking him warranted no reaction. He felt so safe in bed with you, nothing could wake him, not even nightmares.

You couldn't help snapping a picture of his peaceful face <3
