Perhaps this is an obnoxious take on my part, but video games should, above all things, prioritize the ability of being paused. At any point. Regardless of whether it's during a cutscene, a special animation, or a time-based puzzle. You never know when you're gonna get a phone call, or someone will need you in another room, or you get a sudden urge to go to the bathroom, or you hear your cat licking plastic, or whatever. Other entertainment mediums like books, movies, and music can be paused whenever you want. Why do some games not give you the same luxury??

Okay I very much enjoy this show but this scene here pissed me all the way off.

I studied classics in University. I took Latin, Ancient Greek, and a whole lot of history and mythology classes.

The name Caesar, in Latin, is pronounced KAISER.

The German word Kaiser was taken FROM THE LATIN WORD.

The Germans pronounced it correctly, while in English we like to fuck with how every other language's words are spelled and pronounced and then pretend we invented them.

Is it wrong to pronounce Caesar "SEE-ZER" in English? No, it's not incorrect, because that's the standard English-language pronunciation.

But if you are trying to emulate the original Latin, you absolutely should be pronouncing it KAISER.

And I mean, obviously it makes sense that a newly-emerged vault dweller raised to believe America is the holy land and a former cowboy-actor ghoul wouldn't know the correct Latin pronunciation of Caesar. It makes sense that they think the Legion is saying it wrong.

But what pisses me off is that the show itself seems to frame their criticism as correct. As proof that the Legion are nuts. Look at these poser idiots, they don't even know how to pronounce their own words!

The Legion is saying it right. They're fucked up for a variety of reasons, but their pronunciation is CORRECT.

Feels good to get that off my chest.

When I was a little boy, girls used to just do random cartwheels for no reason. Then one day, they stopped. Now that I am a man, no women randomly do cartwheels. This is because society is evil and killed the cartwheel impulse in their soul. They don't even spin horizontally anymore. It's fucked up.
