I'm at a rooftop bar outside Wrigley for the Cubs game today so I'm going to blog about it here hehe. I'm a baseball dilletante and this is my first ever MLB game!
Here the grounds crew is carefully peeling the field to see if it's ripe
It wasn't quite ripe yet but they're seasoning it now to help it along
I think it must be difficult to play catch wearing a big mascot head. I would imagine it makes a lot of things difficult.
I missed seeing the first pitch but I liked the guitarist's rendition of the SSB. Maybe it's bc I'm so far away but even the infield distances look huge. Jog my tiny Cubs
This is gonna make me sound stupid but I had no idea there was a pitch timer.
Just saw a Cubs player dive to get back to first so the pitcher couldn't tag him, lol. I hope they get a couple runs in
I think maybe Cabrera was trying to hit those batters in the dick? Strategy didnt pan out if so.
Okay so the Cubs are down 0 and 16 at the beginning of the bottom 6th. But ive seen several good birds (gulls and pigeons)
The home crowd is booing the Giants but like. With that many home runs you gotta give it to them
WE GOT OUR FIRST RUN yaaay but now the 6th is over. Ballpark is singing along to Mr. Brightside
I moved to sit somewhere I could see the screen better but I will probably move again cause there are 2 bros behind me talking about real life military spending and bomb technology like its CoD or some shit
The 7th inning stretch was really offtempo IMO but still fun!
There are so many birds riding the air currents around here since the sun came out hehe
And home run cubs! I'll take it hehe
Like the umpteenth home run for the Giants but the Cubs catcher caught a popup which I thought was neat haha. SF 18, Cubs 3, bottom of the ninth.
Phone died right after the game ended, so I couldn't add the final baseballpost.
We lost bad! They hung out the flag that juat has a big blue L on it lmao. Unless you're a Giants fan, in which case you should be very pleased. Either way I had a lot of fun. Here is a photo of a good pigeon I saw.
Thank you baseball men for the ballgame!
