“I don’t doubt that someone would catch them before they get to me.” The possibility of someone trying to break in was probable, past attempts proved this, but the Darkling has faith in his Oprichniki. He wouldn’t have been so careful when selecting them if he didn’t.

He ponders for a few moments on if he should tell her what’s truly on his mind. Usually when asked, he comes up with a non-answer. Seeing most of his life is watched with so many eyes, he likes to keep his personal life private. Well.... it isn’t like she’s going to go around telling everyone about him.
