Tom Holland’s Peter Parker really did not care that he was about to kill someone on Caps shield.

But that’s the great thing about it.

The writers could’ve had him look around or notice that he was on Caps shield, and stop because thats what Steve would want him to do.

Peter loves the Avengers, those are his hero’s. He looks up to them. So it’s not so far out that it would make him stop in his tracks.

But no. Peter stops because of Tobey’s spidey.

Peter stops because he sees a version of himself that wants more for him, that wants him to be better.

The fucking symbolism.

And Tobey’s Spiderman didn’t even know what the shield was.

I understand Sam not wanting to take on the legacy of Captian America in tfatws and him giving up the shield.

What I don't understand is why Bucky was so upset at Sam for giving it up.

It being the only family Bucky had left made no sense to me because in my mind that shield does not belong to Steve. It seems to me that it actually belongs to either Howard Stark or the Wakandans depending on where Howard got the vibrainium.

I mean... legally, yeah, I guess, but Steve made it the symbol that it is. It became a part of Steve. Even after he gave it up, it was still attached to him, and it always will. It's the one thing Bucky had left of the past, not just Steve. He held that shield, fought with that shield, before he was the Winter Soldier.

So maybe it didn't physically belong to Steve, but it was the meaning that he put on it. The shield didn't make Captain America. Captain America makes the shield. And because he made the shield what it is, the symbol belongs to him. Not the actual shield, but what it stands for.

So how do y’all think Steve got the shield after endgame ?? Bc we see the shield is wrecked during that battle

And then we see him go back in time without a shield then suddenly he’s old with a perfectly good shield to give to Sam

Y’all think he went Cap robbing ?? Went to the coordinates of where his plane went down stole the shield and then gave it a new paint job so in his time line he just had a home made replica of Captain America’s shield ??

Like I am confused about how he got the shield to pass the mantle on to Sam
