-Sinestro is SO focused on getting Parallax, the Entity of Fear, back from Superman that despite Superman attacking him with heat vision he already is prepared for strife and struggle. Not with Superman. But with Parallax INHABITING Superman (although at this time parallax was not in Superman like Sinestro believed lmao) either way Sinestro was calm as a cucumber and levelheaded being willing to go toe-to-toe with Parallax Superman. Like whaaaat!!!??? he’s so cracked lmao

THIS QUOTE is where I made it a staple textbook script phrase in my Sinhal fic universe Emerald Reflections on AO3. This is EXACTLY the panel I got it from. Basically, it means that Sinestro’s will is so strong that it is easier to move a world from its orbit than to break it. And considering the fact that Sinestro is ACTIVELY pursuing Parallax (and petting Superman’s head lmao) just confirms it. Sinestro is psychotic but man that will is something else.
(this is also why I think the Green Lantern Corps and the conversation/concept of Will is so intriguing because many people/Lanterns have different versions of willpower that doesn’t necessarily mean good/evil and explains how a character like Sinestro was a Green Lantern for so long, enough so that he was the Greatest of All BEFORE Hal.)

-For those that don’t know her, the light skin blue woman is know as Lyssa Drak and she is a scribe and advisor to the Sinestro Corps, and also is their lore keeper. Even LYSSA is saying Parralax fears Sinestro!!!! How wild is that? Let’s break this down:
Parallax isn’t just a monster — it’s Fear incarnate.
The Yellow Emotional Entity.
The beast that drives Lanterns mad, corrupts entire Corps, and shatters minds just by whispering.
It breaks everyone.
Hal. Kyle. And BILLIONS across the Emotional Spectrum.
No one “controls” Parallax — it POSSESSES you.
Except Sinestro.
In DC lore (and even more in my Emerald Reflections fic universe!), Parallax is so untamable and so mentally corrosive that its hosts usually lose themselves completely. But Sinestro? He does the impossible:
He tames it.
He commands it.
And Parallax FEARS him.
Why?
Sinestro’s will isn’t hopeful like Hal’s— it’s precision, discipline, unshakable identity.
Fear is a weapon to him, not a weakness.
His mind has no cracks for Parallax to exploit.
His philosophy aligns with Fear so perfectly that Parallax becomes the instrument, NOT the master.
The idea that Fear Itself trembles before a mortal man is one of the strongest testaments to Sinestro’s character in DC mythos.
So when Lyssa Drak says—
“My lord… it’s YOU Parallax fears.”
She means it LITERALLY.
Sinestro doesn’t survive Parallax.
He DOMINATES it.
Despite laughing at this whole scene (why my baby daddy petting Superman’s head lmao) it’s also why it sticks out to me among many others because it’s why Sinestro’s power scale sits on a completely different tier.
