Because of some stupid people of the gym a 35 kg dumbbell which was not kept properly in the racks fell on my feel, to be precise on the joint of my thumb. . Guys make sure that because of you someone else doesn't get hurt, well i am okay but yes it is painful. . Please re rack the things you use and do it properly it's a request. . Also don't ego lift because here i feel the person who used it couldn't keep it back properly so he was definitely doing that #egolifting . . I was tired, back and hams tight. Didn’t sleep (was up til’ almost 4am) worked til’ 5pm still went to the gym and blasted this #deadlift 💥💥💥#boom #wisconsinstrong and with quite possibly the shitiest straight bar EVER! I wrapped up wrong, too high on my hand and the knurling on the bar is crap. Chalk didn’t help much. I felt my right hamstring POP during the first attempt. I’d say it was fascia. It scared me a little but I was determined. Excuses aside, I couldn’t be happier. 47 years old, weight was 204 this morning (meh) and I have not been training for this. I just decided to do it. #egolifting at its finest😉👍🏻👏🏻. Getting a massage tomorrow YAY! Currently soaking in a tub of Epsom salts. SO GOOD! Gonna go eat and off to bed. Let’s talk about failure. There is no true failure unless you give up completely. “Failing” is learning. Such as with this deadlift attempt. I have deadlifted 555lbs before. What did I learn here? Not to perform a shit ton of volume and then try to max lift😂 this is what you call #egolifting i could list off a bunch of stuff I did wrong.
