oliver does a long-suffering sigh and the bags under his eyes get even darker. “i told you, we can’t be together, not anymore.”

“why notttttt,” whines barry, because he hates rules and being told what ‘no’ and is already considering breaking the timeline to find another oliver that will date him.

oliver turns away, brooding. “because i haven’t felt an emotion in years… not since… The Island… i can’t care for you, barry… not like how you deserve…”

barry thinks this is stupid. “skill issue,” says barry. “also we could just fuck.”

“if we just fuck, you’re going to get attached, because you’re barry allen and you latch onto people like a leech,” says oliver.

“nooooooooo,” replies barry, lying. “i won’t get attached. i literally just want the sad boy dick and no emotional vulnerability whatsoever.”

“ok,” says oliver, even though he knows barry is lying, but under 99 layers of repression he does actually like barry and maybe want to kiss him after 4 more years of relationship development but he’s not saving himself for marriage so they fuck super duper nasty.

scratch that, it’s not super duper nasty, it’s sickeningly tender and oliver feels weirdly warm afterwards and barry informs him that it’s called an emotion.

“i love you,” says barry.

“i don’t believe in feelings,” says oliver.

“awwwh you’re so sweet,” says barry and then he tries to kiss oliver and oliver leaves dramatically from the window like off-brand batman

hard cut to barry doodling hearts around oliver’s name in red glitter gel pen and then oliver standing on the edge of a building, silhouetted in front of the moon, dramatically brooding about barry

2 years later oliver finally confesses his feelings to which barry is confused bc he thought they’d been dating this whole time. and they lived happily ever after
