I’ve been sitting on my completed Helluva Halloween art exchange piece for the past two weeks and I’m happy to finally be able to post it!

A witchy Charlie for Helluva Halloween, Day 9: Toil and Trouble!

One Helluva Halloween

While Stolas is usually more of a romcom man himself, he takes part in Blitz and Loona’s tradition of watching horror movies together in the week leading up to Halloween. Loona absolutely loves gore, and Blitz loves a good ghost story with creative kills… Stolas threw up half way through the first movie, prompting the father-daughter duo to pick up some more campy teen horror movies with less on screen gore and happier endings.

What started off as pumpkin carving, would end up looking more like pumpkin butchering for almost everyone but Blitz to everyone’s surprise. No one expected him to be good at it (though Millie probably would’ve done better if the raw pumpkin smell didn’t make her nauseous)

Moxxie collects the pumpkin seeds from the carving activities to roast them for Millie since it was a small tradition her family did during the fall. He even called her sister to get the exact way her family in Wrath did.

Loona posts halloween countdowns on her sinstagram and voxtok, posting a thirst trap in her handsewn reaper costume to the song Final Girl by PI3RCE on halloween night before going to a party with friends.

Blitz insists everyone come to work in costume….. Moxxie protests but Millie gives him puppydog eyes and they show up in a couples costume (and of course Millie’s baby bump is incorporated if she's showing by the time the holiday comes around). Loona, still working on the final touches for her costume for the year, wears her old one to the office but Blitz still gushes over how cute she looks despite having seen the costume already and knowing she’s still working on the new one.

Of course, Blitz dresses as a horse. And yes, he is the happiest freaking horse anyone has ever seen.

Stolas feels awkward since he hasn’t dressed up for a holiday since he was a child. To his surprise, he enjoys it a lot. It’s not really an expression of how he feels, but he’s never had a job where he got to incorporate fun into his day to day life like this, and he finds it comforting to be included in the IMP crew’s little traditions.

Millie and Loona man the desk and give out candy to clients. Loona mostly eats the candy Millie is handing out.

Stolas bakes halloween themed goods and passes them out at the office. He actually feels good when everyone tells him they’re good and Millie asks if he’ll bake something for her and Moxxie’s baby shower. Stolas nearly cries because this actually helped him feel really close to the imps, making him feel like he’s truly being integrated into Blitz’s little family rather than included out of pity.

When Loona goes to a halloween party with friends,Blitz stays up till nearly 5am to wait for her to come home, a bit anxious after the way she had called him after getting upset at the party at Bee’s. He’d swear he was only up to hand out candy to trick or treaters (even though the trick or treaters stopped roaming the streets around midnight). Stolas stays up with him, both men sharing a relieved breath when Loona stumbles in around 5am with her reaper cloak hanging off one shoulder as she hums party music.

After work, Moxxie and Millie hand out candy at their own home, and Millie cries when she sees a set of young imp twins dressed as peanut butter and jelly. She gave them like half the candy she had left. 

Octavia sneaks out to the human realm for a party at the invitation of a “friend” (the daughter of a high society woman her mother and uncle pushed her into hanging out with that she hardly really knew). She manages to get there safely, though she can’t manage to get into her human form. She doesn’t mind since almost every human is dressed in costumes ranging from sexy to scary to cute so she fits in once she’s in the human realm…. But she’d never been to a halloween party that wasn’t royally approved.

Overwhelmed and a bit drunk after drinking punch she hadn’t known was spiked, Via calls Loona, who drops everything to pick the princess up and get her back sobered up and back to Hell. While Via declined to accompany Loona to the party she had been at with friends, the girls get some greasy fast food and talk for a bit before Loona gets the princess home and returns to her party. Stolas and Blitz know about none of that, Octavia specifically asking Loona to keep it to herself since she’s cut contact with her dad.

Stolas wakes up early the day after Halloween to make little pumpkin shaped pancakes for a slightly hungover Loona and an exhausted Blitz (and a very happy Moxxie and Millie who he wanted to include because of how much he’s grown to care for the small imps). Over breakfast, Stolas is already planning thanksgiving and christmas.

I'm trying to participate in Helluva Halloween, but I'm also starting to feel sick (probably October Slide... chronically ill folks iykyk) but I haven't had the energy to even think of ideas... I'll do something at some point... when I'm not half dead... wish me luck :/
