Once Upon a Dream- DP X DC AU
Bruce had fond memories of a friend from his childhood. He had been little older than Bruce, clearly reluctant to be at the extravagant galas hosted by Gotham Elites. He remembered eyes that glittered with rebellion, a chilling-blazing blue, pale hands that clenched into fists, but the teen waited for the perfect time to strike. He had been mesmerized. Admittedly, he thinks his fascination and semi-easy friendship with Clark was due to Danny's influence from his childhood. He could remember a time or two (or more) when they had evaded their chaperones, Danny from his psychotic godfather and Bruce from his worried strict father butler. He remembered nights filled with laughter and rebellion, could remember Danny getting into tussles and Bruce eager to help his friend; he could remember climbing up crumbling buildings from the midwesterner's insistence that they could find amazing views up there (views he now showed each of his kids and closest allies). Danny had been a welcome balm to his fragile heart, an easy person to converse with when Harvey got a little too passionate about things. He could spend, and had spent, hours listening to the other speak about the stars and the universe and death. When he began his training, Danny had been the only one to truly know what he was about to do. A kiss, a single one, was shared, but the pair parted as best friends. When Bruce returned to begin as a protector for Gotham, he no longer had a friend to speak to. He had never been able to find Danny again, even when he had probed his godfather. It had been, fuck, it had been a little over twenty years since he saw Danny, felt his embrace, listen to him ramble, felt the cold-prickle of too-cold skin. Even when he had been in love with Selina, Talia, Andrea, and even small moments with Clark, he had longed for blazing blue eyes and a cheshire grin. None of his kids knew of him, Alfred probably only knew because he was- well- Alfred, but they knew Bruce would sometimes have certain mornings. Mornings where he would hum softly to himself, a song faintly familiar in the early rays of morning and sleep was barely had, making his coffee or even making a quick dish for himself (he wasn't a complete loss in the kitchen). A sway to his movements, faint smile on his lips, as the dream slowly faded back to the memories they should remain in. Even entering his forties, Bruce still dreamed of Danny. He just wonders why the dreams are coming more often. They used to be just every now and again, but they had been near weekly now... And with a new case coming forward, he'd need to focus, apparently Zatanna and the JLD had found something of importance.
It’s always ‘bad dad cap’ until the JL actually meet his ‘kids’. The JL then decide they would each take a kid to see if they can get some info. It goes as well as you expect

*ten minutes later*
JL watching the kids be buried in the ground - their heads. Suddenly they understand a bit more now.
When Billy was given powers, the clause "Protect the magical world" came with them. Billy's young brain came to the conclusion that it was necessary to protect not only magical animals, but also the magicians themselves. After all, they often face discrimination because of their magic from people who do not have it. Therefore, instead of hiding the status of the Champion of Magic, Billy openly tells the magicians about it and does everything possible so that they do not run away in fear.
This is how the wizards learn about Billy Batson, a nine-year-old orphan who was chosen for such a responsible position. There was much outrage and protest, but no one could go against the choice of Shazam. Billy did a good job of making the wizards who did not believe in him believe in him and his right to be Champion.
The non-magical heroes don't know that there's a child hiding behind the Marvel mask and that Captain Marvel is actually the Champion of Magic. And every time they see the Captain interacting with a magician, they compare them as a father and son. And the fact that the magicians act like naughty kids doesn't help at all. The heroes' heads are still fresh with the incident when Captain Marvel scolded John Constantine for another lost part of his soul. At the same time, the Briton looked like a child who believed that he was being unfairly accused of something he clearly did. He even pouted like a child and stubbornly did not look at Marvel!
So yeah, everyone thought that the good-hearted Marvel had taken these magicians under his wing, who definitely needed some kind of control.
So we all know the JL Declares Phantom a Rogue AUs, yeah? Well, what happens after the JL fcks up?
Phantom's a Rogue now. Red Huntress is either a Hero or In Training. However Amity goes, I'll leave that to you.
But what about JLD? Their whole job is the supernatural community. It's why they were set up. Experts to handle special cases. And yet the JL are sticking their noses into their circus, looking at the JLD's monkeys when their circus has plenty of monkeys that still need attention.
I'd be pissed. Like, what are we here for if you don't call us when there's a problem? It's the whole reason the League was made. Support for Heroes/Vigilantes in various areas.
And when does the JLD get updates on various situations? Do they get any knowledge of Amity from the JL? Do they do a check when Phantom leaves his Haunt? Because I think that all the time missions that Danny did is a very acceptable reason to think he's older. I'd be very worried if an Ancient being of Protection left the place he's fought off world enders in while there are still attacks happening.
Also, I don't think JLD would know about the Anti Ecto Acts since that stuff was buried under an Eco law. They should know! But it seems like they are ... Less regimented about it. Still do reports but I think since they deal with the supernatural stuff, they deal with the Incident and write a report and maybe some followup but I don't think any of them watch the news for laws on their stuff.
That'll probably change after this!
Magic book
I like to imagin that Billy has made his own girmoire. One day he brings it to the watchtower and leaves it unattended because he has a meeting. I mean no one was going to look at the battered up school notebook, right?
Wrong.
A JLD member finds it and freaks out. The spells in this book are like an ancient text made more modern, more efficient, more deadly. And as they are freaking out. Only for Billy to take it out of their hands. He thanks them for holding on to his notebook and leaves. The watchtower breaks out in chaos after he is gone.
Idk what else to add sooo you choose :D
Dani randomly comes across Deadman during her travels and injects him with one of her doses of ectodejecto to heal him because he is a very weak ghost. Then argues with him for letting himself waste away like that and coming to Amity Park if things don't get better. And if it's still not okay, to ask about Fenton, but be careful, Fenton CHILD!
bonus point if he was there with other heroes as part of an investigation mission and suddenly, all “normal” humans can see him. The panic that ensues can be so glorious, especially if the magical hero doesn't realize the problem himself/herself because it doesn't change anything for him/her
these cuties
