comics need to start making jason todd and julia pennyworth parallels again.

me when I enter the "long lost parent/raised by an adoptive father/assumed dead biological mother" competition, and jason todd and julia pennyworth are there.

god, it actually haunts me a bit how pre crisis julia cared about jason so much as a child and only knew him before his death and how post crisis julia barely knows him and never knew him pre red hood.

Back on my Uncle Al bullshit again

Just remembered that Alfred had a daughter (who he was absolutely shit to in canon but we digress) and from the moment Billy hears this he talks about his ‘Darling Cousin Julia’

He hasn’t even met her and immediately loves her

If we keep Alfred as a bad parent they can literally bond over the whole:

‘Was abandoned by their only available guardian and later decided to fight for their country’

I can’t imagine Julia is overly pleased to come back to America and find out that she has three preteens calling her ‘their cool British cousin’ but I don’t know her character well enough to actually write how she reacts

(Yes Freddie also calls her his Cousin, he’s basically family anyway)

(Batman #375): Julia Remarque and Vicki Vale make a really nice duo. I never see these two being spotlighted the way they are here. Why isn't Julia Remarque used anymore, DC!? She's a really cool character! What makes her unusable nowadays? Nothing! Absolutely nothing! Bring her back and pair her with Vicki Vale.

I will not stop wishing for a tv show based on doug moench's batman comics. I want to see a revival of pre crisis jason todd! Of characters like Vicki Vale, Julia Remarque, Jason Todd, Nocturna and all the others. The Crisis on Infinite Earths overshadowed these wonderful stories, and I really fucking hate it! Give me that revival and renaissance, DC! Please. It's about time you acknowledge it.
