Check out this great listen on Audible.com. El Diablo is in the details in this Latinx pirate fantasy starring a transmasculine nonbinary te
The Wicked Bargain is an upcoming book about a Latinx nonbinary transmasc teen pirate (written by transmasc Latinx author Gabe Cole Novoa) and the audiobook is narrated by Latinx nonbinary actor Vico Ortiz who currently plays a pirate in another show!!!
Book summary:
El Diablo is in the details in this Latinx pirate fantasy starring a transmasculine nonbinary teen with a mission of revenge, redemption, and revolution.
On Mar León de la Rosa's sixteenth birthday, el Diablo comes calling. Mar is a transmasculine nonbinary teen pirate hiding a magical ability to manipulate fire and ice. But their magic isn't enough to reverse a wicked bargain made by their father, and now el Diablo has come to collect his payment: the soul of Mar's father and the entire crew of their ship.
When Mar is miraculously rescued by the sole remaining pirate crew in the Caribbean, el Diablo returns to give them a choice: give up their soul to save their father by the harvest moon, or never see him again. The task is impossible—Mar refuses to make a bargain, and there's no way their magic is a match for el Diablo. Then Mar finds the most unlikely allies: Bas, an infuriatingly arrogant and handsome pirate—and the captain's son; and Dami, a gender-fluid demonio whose motives are never quite clear. For the first time in their life, Mar may have the courage to use their magic. It could be their only redemption—or it could mean certain death.
Y’all don’t understand but Victor is some of the only LGBT teen Latinx representation I’ve ever seen. Seeing him and his family say bendición in the new clip made me cry happy tears. REPRESENTATION. MATTERS.
yesterday I started watching diary of a future president on disney+ and I CAN'T RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH!!!!!! It has latinx rep, lots of lgbtq+ rep, storylines about women empowering themselves, friendships and the classic middle school fights, and it all takes place within the awkwardness of being a middle schooler!!! (also lots mentions of how the main characters deal with grief, it's something pretty intense to watch but really necessary in media)
honestly it took me less than a day to watch the whole thing and it makes me glad that disney is putting shows like this out there!!!! if i had a show like this when i was a middle schooler who knew nothing about feminism, the importance of latinx rep and who was just discovering that she might not be straight, I would've probably been SO grateful to watch something like this!
the show has all of what I mentioned before + it's aimed for kids/teens!!! it makes my heart grow to see how the little ones who are just discovering themselves will not have to squint their eyes to get a little of rep in media, this show is proof of how having support while discovering new things about yourself is something amazing and totally chill. (ha, see what i did there doafp fandom?)
the show is also really funny, light hearted and over all pretty fun! if you like hsmtmts or other modern disney shows you're gonna LOVE this one! Also the cast is AMAZING, there is a ton of diversity and that's awesome. as a latinx teen i'm so fucking happy with the show!
anyways, PLEASE go watch diary of a future president on disney+!!!!

While attempting to save her boyfriend’s life she makes a big mistake and creates an army of casimuertos. It’s then up to her to restore balance between life and death.
Wayward Witch follows Rose Mortiz, the youngest sister who is just now learning that her powers might not be what they seemed and that her father has been lying to their family for months. When she goes to confront him they’re pulled into Adas, a hidden fairy realm where her father was stuck for years, and their only hope of escape is Rose fighting a mysterious darkness and saving Adas.
I highly recommend this series to any fans of ya contemporary fantasy because it was super enjoyable and each book was a new experience!

BOLD OF ANYONE TO ASSUME ALEX DOESN'T CHERISH HIS BOYFRIEND AS MUCH AS MAGNUS CHERISHES HIM,,,,
((Anyways I'm officially back on my fierrochase bullshit. I also alternate pronouns when talking about Alex so yeah))
