I've been playing on a minecraft server with my classmates lately and cuz we all are artists there we made our minecraft ocs, I think that we'll add origins mod to the server for more fun :³

I just realized that you really can just take background characters or ones with little to no backstory/lore or screentime and just. Take them.
Like- yeah, that one person who showed up for 5 frames at the start? You can take them. They were actually running a bakery and has a complex found family and owns two dogs, because you liked them and make it so. No one can stop you from making characters that are insignificant to the plot and making them yours.
I really like that, actually. You can just take background characters that you think are neat and give them lives of their own outside of the main characters story. You are allowed to do that. No one can stop you. You can give life to ones that were just supposed to be a face in the background. You can create them even if it doesn't align with anything that the main character is doing.
Hell, you can really just make them into anything. Background Character 25 who was just needed to be apart of a crowd running after a zombie apocalypse started? You can make them into whatever you want. They could be running a 7/11 still, it doesn't have to make sense. You can just- Do whatever you want with them. No one can stop you. Yeah, it might not make sense in that context, but if it makes you happy, then who is going to take that away from you?
