You admired the way he played football and worked out

(especially the way he mothers his friends)

When he told you he got offered a scholarship to Uni, you were both ecstatic

Except when you found out he'd be 107 miles away.

You told him you were scared that you'd drift apart, but he held you as you cried a little and said

"Distance brings fondness, hun."

The months leading up to his first semester, you dreaded the time you'd have apart

You also hated school without him

You two were known as high school sweethearts so people...

had their thoughts.

BUT!!

You hung out with Soda, Pony, and Two-Bit to pass time

He visits on Christmas and your birthday, and some random holidays, but your favourite parts are the summers

Whenever he comes back, you both sit and cuddle on the couch and watch tv

On Christmas you make a mess in the kitchen while making cookies

And swatting Steve's hands away from them

When he came back for your birthday, he surprised you with a great big cake that his old friend made

It says

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY LOVE, Y/N"

Darrell's the kinda guy to not cry during the moment
