What is Critical Ecology?
Critical theory + ecological research = critical ecology lab đ Critical theory has gotten so much attention because of CRT bans. Still, at its core, itâs about analyzing differences in who has power and who doesnât. Not only does that affect us all, itâs also relevant to environmental work

I'm working on my graduate thesis at Delta State University (fear the Fighting Okra!) and I'm looking adults with disabilities to take part in an online survey. The survey will probably take 15-20 minutes to complete and it's about how social friction is perceived in interactions between disabled and able-bodied people. So if you're 18 or older and self-identify as disabled or partially-disabled, I would love to hear from you on the survey:
"Let Me Get That For You": Analyzing Frictional Situations in a Disability Context (via Google Forms)
This research survey has received approval (IRB number 2025-037) from Delta State's Institutional Review Board. It will be live and accepting responses for the next 4-6 weeks depending on the number of responses received. But there's also something for you!
The survey itself is anonymous, though you can optionally enter a drawing for an Amazon gift card at the end of the survey. I can't buy a gift card for every response (as much as I would like to be able to do that) but I can give away a token of appreciation to a randomly selected portion of you. Email addresses are collected only for those who wish to participate in the raffle; any collected emails are deleted after each weekly drawing and only used to contact whoever won that week.
If you have any questions about the project, feel free to send me a message on tumblr!
as a former gym rat what will actually make your glutes grow is eating good and eating protein and ik it's hard (and it can be "expensive") but everything else, complements or trendy shit is just bs, only your physical movement and your diet will change "how you look" (and not always, remember that genetics it's genetics) don't be too hard on yourself, if working out makes you feel good then "looking good" doesn't really matter
I'm sure you're probably very knowledgeable about this topic, but I also believe that hormonal factors play a bigger role in this for AFAB folks than you may be educated on. This is understandable, as it has very little research available and it's not taught in schools. This post, along with a good percentage of my other posts, is a kink thing. The supplements I chose here are beneficial for my PCOS and perimenopause symptoms as well as the anecdotal claims of a "second puberty" with tissue growth results. The workout app I use is called StrongLikeAMother, or SLAM, from a Trainor and content creator called Get Mom Strong. She has a pointed focus on rehabbing, healing and strengthening the core and pelvic floor for people who have pushed out babies. And her subscription is very affordable as compared to other's I've been able to find. Going to the gym as a busy, poor single mom of a teen and a special needs toddler is a gargantuan task. Of course training with a trainer in person, lifting heavy and eating well would be ideal!! However, finding a kink sponsor/sugar daddy in my community here willing to fund all that, including better groceries month to month, is a much harder sell than $50 worth of trendy supplements.
All that said, I appreciate your concern but your mansplaining is unnecessary. I'm kinky, not stupid.
THEY GOT YOU FIGHTING A CULTURE WAR TO STOP YOU FIGHTING A CLASS WAR
Stone me to death if Iâm wrong I guess but I really feel like any privilege comes with the responsibility to distribute that privilege downward any way you can and not hoard it exclusively for your own benefit. but idk who am I to say
AN OPEN LETTER to THE PRESIDENT & U.S. CONGRESS; STATE GOVERNORS & LEGISLATURES
Act Now: Save Public Transit from Extinction!
2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!
I am writing to highlight the critical state of public transit in the United States and urge your support increased investment in this essential service. The challenges facing public transitâunder-investment, over-reliance on car ownership, and racial disparitiesâhave been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is imperative that we take bold action to address these issues for the benefit of our communities and our future.
Investing in public transit is not merely a matter of convenience; it is a necessity for tackling climate change, advancing equity, supporting essential workers, and fostering economic recovery. The largest source of carbon emissions in the U.S. stems from transportation, and increased investment in public transit can significantly reduce this impact. Furthermore, public transit plays a crucial role in providing equitable access to jobs, schools, and services, especially for those who cannot afford or do not have access to private vehicles.
With over 2.8 million essential workers relying on public transit, our pandemic response and economic recovery hinge on the strength and viability of our transit systems. According to studies, sustained investment in public transportation yields substantial economic returns, with every $1 billion invested annually resulting in approximately $5 billion in additional GDP.
I commend initiatives like the Green New Deal for Transportation and efforts by organizations such as the CHARGE coalition to electrify and expand public transportation. These initiatives are pivotal in shaping a more sustainable and equitable transportation system for all Americans.
Therefore, I urge you to support emergency relief funding for public transit and join the movement to rebuild and improve our public transit system. This is not just an investment in infrastructure; it is an investment in our collective future.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. I look forward to your support in advancing policies that will ensure a robust and accessible public transit system for all.
