Small PSA!

I’ve been made aware by an acquaintance of mine (not naming just to be safe, but they’re also currently inactive either way), that there are blogs who are going around targeting and harassing systems of color. They’ve also emphasized that this is especially happening to newer blogs, so if you’re just starting a poc centered blog, or have a blog that you’re open about your ethnicity for, please be careful! Here are the two blogs that they specifically named. BLOCK. DO NOT HARRASS. I’m sharing this so you all can BLOCK them, let’s all stay civil. If you know of any other blogs who are actively harrassing others, let me know!:

Again, please don’t go harassing them. I’ve also heard a fair amount of tales about both of these blogs so just steer clear of them regardless.

On the topic of poc awareness, that same acquaintance has also made a masterlist of black resources! Give it a look over when you get the chance. You can tell they spent a shit ton of time on it, and I forever appreciate them for taking the time to make it <3

Get a grippppppppp god damn. Especially if the app is free cause yall realize to get something on the app store you have to pay right. It's why I'm lowkey not surprised there aren't really any options on ios. Have you SEEN the cost it takes to have and keep an app there?

Do I hope these people claiming to have apps in the work don't end up buried under the demands? Yes. But also I do hope some of them end up failing so yall can see how aggressive this community is and the work that goes into them.

experiences i have as a CDD system of colour (indigenous canadian)

a lot of my parts present paler internally bc of internalized racism and ideas about what "good" and "clean" looked like that the school system pushed on us unintentionally

constantly teasing our head gatekeeper for being a british woman. stop colonizing us, ally. jfc /aff

hating myself for how many white presenting parts i have

no picrew having the right skin tone ever (it's either White White or the colour we are in the middle of summer)

struggling to balance my Indigeneity and my community's hesitancy around psychiatry vs wanting medical validation for my symptoms

getting pissy whenever people stereotype systems as "white people with dyed hair" because im right here

different parts being different levels of interested in our cultural practices

our English-presenting admin feeling like a colonizing fraud at Native events

struggling to balance my two-spirit identity with my dissociative experiences

owning so many shades of foundation because we have such a hard time conceptualizing our skin tone -> that one part that just buys the porcelain shade

different parts wanting to dress "more native" than others (e.g. beaded jewelry, doing the actual ritual of braiding, etc)

some parts trying to mask as white, others being angry at them for it

this post is abt a person with a trauma disorder. Endos and supporters please DNI, i do not want on that side of tumblr.

an alter that translates for one or multiple alter(s), internally or externally (or both). for example: a bilingual system with one alter that only speaks spanish interacts with a person that only speaks english, the translator would translate the spanish-speaking alter into english for the non-spanish speaking person they’re interacting with to understand the spanish-speaking alter.

Does it sound weird to basically say as a Black woman that I have many non Black alters because I couldn't handle being a Black girl growing up with all the racial trauma, harmful stereotypes, and micro aggression pushed onto me?
