Publicizing Some of The Plural Association’s Racist History

I would like to make known to the entire plural community that The Plural Association has been racist for years and is still continuing racism today.

I plan to release a statement on my perspective and experience of racism from TPA; if I find myself unable to, I will reblog/repost/share/etc. whatever additional proofs are made publicly available.

Does it sound weird to basically say as a Black woman that I have many non Black alters because I couldn't handle being a Black girl growing up with all the racial trauma, harmful stereotypes, and micro aggression pushed onto me?

Any other systems of color have this thing where, despite many alters having different appearances, a lot or even most of them still have your ethnic features?

We have that, a lot of individual alters still have our nose shape, eye shape, cheekbone shape and sometimes mouth shape, even though other than that we look wildly different from one another.

We’re working on answering an ask with more resources for questioning systems, and it’s occurring to us that the overwhelming majority of plural content we can find online is put out by white creators. We would like to boost and recommend more content from BIPOC systems!

If you or someone you know is a non-white plural creator, please let us know! Who are y’all’s favorite Black, Latino, Asian, and Indigenous plural creators? Any YouTube channels, podcasts, TikTokkers, artists, influencers, or other kinds of creators you’d like to recommend?

Please don’t be shy! We’d like to boost as many systems of color as we can, along with adding them to our list of resources! We are also working on a plural creators masterpost, so we’d love to add any and all plural creators to it!
