The reason why stigmatized paraphilias are diagnosed at such a high rate in criminals is because they aren't tested in the general population.

More people have paraphilias than you realize, and keep it hidden out of fear.

Usually I wouldn't answer asks like this, but I'm getting tired of receiving submissions along these lines "calling out" paraphiles.

This user is literally a transmasc with a forcefem & detransitioning kink. Yeah, its shitty that they(? pronouns are not specified in the pinned) don't properly tag their content. It sucks to come across content you find distressing to see. But it's not transandrophobic to have a paraphilia. Just block the account and move on if you don't want to see untagged content.

Maybe in a perfect universe, paramisia is taken as serious as other forms of discrimination are and paraphiles don’t have to deal with the constant backlash and predator allegations

The fact that paraphiles have to hide their attractions from those they love because they know their loved ones will abandon and shame them is disappointing, and we need to stop normalizing that shit. I’m tired of people claiming to be woke and progressive while not taking any chances to listen to the para community just because we happen to have paraphilias the public finds “icky.” Perhaps they would stop acting like this the day they learn that not everyone acts on their attraction (in the case of “harmful” ones) and that we should still be treated as equal despite what we’re into, but until then we’ll have to deal with the constant demonization of paraphilias

Also want to add, can people PLEASE stop assuming that all paraphiles have a paraphiliac disorder. A paraphilia can only be classified as a disorder if the paraphilia causes distress in the paraphile (or if the paraphile has actually acted on it in the case of some paraphilias) but many paraphiles do not feel distress due to their paraphilias. I’ve found that my distress often comes from paramisia instead of my paraphilias!

I feel like people see the word pedophile/paraphile and their critical thinking just turns off. They immediately jump to predator and listen to nothing else the person says.

1: POCD doesn’t mean you’re a paraphile. The very essence of the subtype is you’re afraid of being one and avoid people and things out of fear you’ll hurt someone. It’s a compulsion and you shouldn’t feel the need to do that, but OCD is a good manipulator.

2: Paraphile ≠ predator. Plenty of paraphiles have no intention of ever hurting or exploiting anyone and never have. To demonize them is paramisiac and, by extension, saneism.

suicidism (and paramisia) is people telling us not to commit suicide and all that when they first find out we're (mostly passively) suicidal. until they find out why we're suicidal.

one of the biggest reasons we're suicidal is because we have a paraphilic disorder(s). once people find out we're suicidal due to the fact that we have paraphilic disorders they often have encouraged us to attempt or straight up acted like us being suicidal wasn't a problem because we're "a bad person anyways" (due to having paraphilic disorders).

people have straight up told us, to our face, that suicide is the only "answer" for people with paraphilic disorders (or paraphilias in general).

This is suicidism (and paramisia). yes, the way people talk about certain kinds of people being deserving of killing themselves has always bothered us. nobody deserves to die, (we think regardless of what they've done, we don't believe in the death penalty so why should we believe in random people enforcing it instead of the state?)
