Spock walked through the halls authorial, his hands behind his back. He nodded at every crew man that passed, his back and feet are tired, but he didn't show it. He didn't let it be known how exhausted he is. He never does, he comes to his door internally sighing at the day being over.
Soft music is playing and another wave a relief wash over him. He walks inside and scans the room; his brows furrow he doesn't see her. She is always sitting at her desk; or she is in the bed. Sometimes he would catch her at the dinner table. His wife was nowhere in sight.
He etched closer in, and he saw his wife sitting on the floor reading. In a rather uncomfortable position. "Y/n?" She looked up from her book, her eyes drowsy. "Why are you on the floor?"
He walked over to her and offered her his hand; she didn't take it. Which Spock noted as very odd behavior. "I can't get up I have to finish this. It's a complete guide to tribbles." She yawned turning back to the book. "You must do this on the floor? My thy'la, this is illogical."
"No, it's not I need to finish this on the floor, because if I read it on the bed, I will fall asleep." She whines, rolling her neck trying to pop it. "My dear, you must not read on the floor like this. You will develop joint pains that will obscure your compacity to work. Not to mention I have seen you reading this all day. Your eyes are strained. You are also overworking yourself." He finishes taking her arm and bringing her up.
He towered over her; he gazes down at her lovingly. A small smile on her face as she looked up at his dark eyes. "You're worried about me." It was supposed to be a question, but it was really more of a statement. As if she was saying it more to herself than him. He takes the book out of her hands. Places it on the desk all without looking away from her. "I always worry about you. You are my wife." She nods tiredly and hugs his torso. He holds her waist and cradles her head and for a moment it was silent. Just them listening of the others heartbeat.
"When I woke up this morning you were already gone. You also did not say much on the bridge today. Are you alright." He asks quietly, now petting her hair. She pulls away and looks up at him. "I'm ok, just a bad dream. It has been stuck in my head all day." He nods, "What happened in this dream?"
She looked down contemplating how to explain. "I dreamt that you left me." He looked her in complexion and shock. "I dreamt that you left me for Tpring. It was so lifelike Spock," he held her jaw with both hands, cupping her face. "You know that this dream is just fiction, yes?" She looked down, not answering.
"You know I have no feelings for Tpring, nor did I ever? Y/n?" She closed her eyes. "Look at me, please?" He asked kindly, she opened her eyes. His held such confusion and worry it almost hurt. "You Know I hold no feelings for her?"
"You were betrothed Spock," She started but stopped once she saw the hurt that flashed on his face. "Y/n, I did not love her. I did not feel anything for her. I was seven listening to my parents' orders that is all. Please get this foolish idea out of your mind. You are my wife, you are my th'la and as long as I live this is how it will be." He finishes kissing her on her head. Holding her hands tenderly intertwining their fingers.
For a moment much like many before, it was as if their souls danced with each other. Their heads leaning on one another, their fingers intertwining in an intimate Vulcan kiss. getting lost in each other's presence. Getting drunk from love they shared, from the feeling that Spock was so ashamed of for years. Basking in the feeling she denied herself. Husband and wife.
"I'm sorry, it's just I don't want you to go."
"I will not. Come your exhausted my love." He guides her to the bed, undoing the tightly made blankets. They lay down together he held her as she laid her head on his chest. He took the book from their bedside table. He read to her for several minutes waiting to hear the stillness of her sleeping breaths.
Nobody asked for this, but I was in a mood and wanted to write some fluff about a background Vulcan. So uh...here ya go.

Tos (ST:ENT) x Reader
[A/N: I know he seems kinda biased against humanity, but if the right person showed him Humans weren’t so bad, I think he’d be soft under that prickly exterior.]
Warnings: Getting stood up, emotional hurt/comfort, kind Vulcan saves the day, pining, mutual pining, they both think it’s unrequited but it’s not, they’re idiots your honor, idiot/idiot, Tos is a sentimental sweetheart, she’s sad and it’s unacceptable to him.
~*~
Tos had never seen her looking so forlorn before. Normally, she’d at least make a few jokes with her waiter or some familiar fellow patrons, but this time Soval’s assistant was utterly silent. Her chin rested in her palm, and she was tracing the rim of her glass with a single fingertip as if the action alone could summon whatever it was that she sought. Her whole countenance practically drooped like a wilted flower.
It wasn’t that the Ambassador watched her specifically, but...well, he couldn’t help but notice her. Though she was Human, her beauty was undeniable. Whenever she was in the embassy, Tos could pick her out from the largest crowd, because she practically lit up the entire building with her smiles.
He’d made sure to become acquainted with her after the first week of distractions that she’d caused him. As their friendship formed, the Ambassador realized that they had a lot in common. They even frequented the same small restaurant. More than once he’d caught himself foolishly entertaining the notion of presenting himself to her as a prospective mate. That wasn’t feasible, though. He was much too old to be anything more than a friend to her. But he wouldn’t let that stop him from being the best friend that he could possibly be.
Tonight as she sat alone, it occurred to him that he would throw everything, even logic, to the wayside if only he could bring her out of this low mood. His internal debate lasted only a moment before he found himself standing and moving to her table with a swish of his robes.
She looked up and a flash of recognition and surprise crossed over her features.
“Forgive me for interrupting, ashaya. May I join you?” He tried to keep his voice steady and strong so that he wouldn’t show how rapidly her eyes drilled right into his brain and robbed him of all but a sliver of his control. Silently, she nodded her head, and Tos took the seat across from her. She tried to force a smile, but he knew her much too well to be fooled by it. “What is troubling you?”
“Oh, it’s nothing. I was supposed to be meeting someone today, but...it looks like he forgot. Again.” She must be talking about her suitor. From what she’d told Tos, the man didn’t seem fit to be in her presence. A jolt of protectiveness thrummed through Tos’s chest, and he had an idea.
“Would you consider allowing me to keep you company this evening, k’diwa?” Her eyes widened, and her lips spread into a small, teasing smile - her first of the evening from what he’d seen.
“That depends. Are you finally going to tell me what ‘k’diwa’ means?”
At least she was still in high enough spirits to tease him. Allowing her a dramatically raised eyebrow, Tos acted as though he was thinking it over, just as he always did.
“...Perhaps tonight I shall,” he murmured, and the wide grin she gave him was enough to make up his mind for him. He should tell her. He would tell her, but first he had to make sure that the pain that she had been made to feel tonight was thoroughly wiped away. “Allow me but a moment and we shall depart.”
He made his way over to the waiter, who was more than happy to assist a prominent Vulcan Ambassador such as himself, and made a very special request. The man looked at him oddly, but he ultimately agreed, which was good enough for Tos.
Instead of returning to his seat when got back to the table, he offered his lovely companion his arm. Receiving a smile that made him stand a little taller and - dare he say - prouder, he led her on a walk around the Embassy grounds. His little surprise would doubtless take a bit of setup and he wanted to allow ample time for its completion.
“Where are you taking me now that you’ve rescued me from the jaws of boredom, Mr. Ambassador?”
“First, for a walk, and then to do something you have expressed a keen desire to do.” He knew his answer was cryptic, but he didn’t want to spoil the surprise. For the moment, the idle conversation between the two of them flowed easily. He savored every little smile she gave him, because not only were they something he already enjoyed, but they were a sign of her improving mood, as well.
Tos caught sight of Ambassador Soval as they began to make their way inside, and the two men exchanged a quiet ta’al in greeting. No doubt Soval would have a few questions for him the next day about the familiarity of his contact with his assistant.
Once they reached the upper level, Tos entered his access code in the panel by the observation room door. She would normally never have cause or authorization to be here, but tonight was an exception.
“Close your eyes,” he ordered, and she followed his direction instantly. The trust that her actions implied made Tos mentally preen. Guiding her inside, Tos brought her right to the edge of the area that had been set up for them, then he made his way over to the control panel. Inputting the correct data for the display that he wanted, he looked up when a low, electric hum buzzed to life.
Perfect. He then moved back to her side and placed his hands on her shoulders, whispering for her to open her eyes. She blinked slowly as she did so, and Tos gestured for her to look upward. A gasp slipped from her throat as she took in the lowered lights and the ceiling which now displayed an exact replica of the stars above Vulcan. Typically, this room was used for strategic planning for travel through star systems or for potential defense plans, but tonight its use was purely recreational.
“Tos...Oh, Ambassador, this is wonderful!” Her amazement drew him alarmingly close to smiling, and the way she said his name...Then she spotted the picnic that he’d had the staff arrange for them. If he had been uncertain about her reaction before, the way her eyes glittered with unshed tears of gratitude made her feelings exceedingly clear.
“A picnic beneath Vulcan’s stars. You expressed an interest in stargazing on my homeworld approximately forty two days ago. As I cannot take you there this evening, I thought it logical to bring Vulcan’s sky to you,” he explained, and with barely a pause, she threw her arms around him. His eyes went wide, but he embraced her in return. Such exuberance was rare from her, and he assumed that were he to reject her now, she might feel even more crushed than she had earlier. He would not tolerate that after the pain that her former suitor had caused her. Former would be the appropriate descriptor for him, if Tos had anything to say about it. Her lips met his cheek, and that was where she seemed to catch herself.
“O-Oh, I’m so sorry, sir!” She seemed mortified by her behavior, and she even began to pull away, but Tos grasped her waist to keep her where she was. No, don’t leave. You need not be embarrassed. His instincts urged him to hold her closer, to reassure her.
“There is no need to apologize,” he promised as he tried to tamp down the blush that was no doubt coloring his cheeks. Having her this close was more than he’d ever hoped for. Her lips had been warm and gentle on his cheek. Beneath his logic, the Hunger that all Vulcans kept hidden preened at her affectionate gesture. He had no right to, but he enjoyed every moment with her on a level that, truthfully, he really shouldn’t.
She looked up at him and the soft openness of her expression bored straight through the last of Tos’s mental barriers.
“Beloved,” he breathed before he could stop himself, and at her look of confusion he elaborated. “You have asked me many times what ‘k’diwa’ means. It means beloved.”
The Ambassador had never seen her so surprised. His Hunger drew back as anxiety crept in. Was he really so inadequate that the mere possibility of his affection was a shock? He should not have revealed the truth. Illogical old fool.
“I apologize. The use of such a familiar term of endearment is highly inappropriate. I intended no offen–” He was abruptly silenced by the feeling of delicate heat covering his lips.
It took him a moment to determine what was happening, but once he did, he realized that she...was kissing him. Allowing his mind to touch hers for barely a second, he confirmed that she did not hate him...that in fact, she felt a depth of affection for him that rivaled his own feelings. By the time they broke for breath, they were both blushing.
“Nam-tor ri thrap wilat nem-tor rim,” she murmured. There is no offense where none is taken. Surak’s wisdom from her lips was the sweetest gift she could have ever bestowed upon him.
Beneath the simulated light of Vulcan’s stars, Tos cupped the back of his love’s head and kissed her so tenderly that even the deepest, loneliest depths of his Hunger purred in satisfaction. When she hummed against his lips and looped her arms around his neck, the Ambassador was certain that her former suitor would soon be all but forgotten.

Request: Heya! Just came across your work and I was wondering if you could write a scenario about TOS kirk asking you out? - Anon
______________________
"For the last time. I know I'm desperate but I'm not that desperate." You continued to walk away from the Ensign who'd just asked you on a date for the eleventh time.
"But Y/N, I just know we'll be good together. I can feel it. Just give me a chance. Please" he managed to run slightly in front of you to speak.
Stopping in your tracks you let out a sigh "there's no world in which this would realistically work. You're just not my type, I barely know you, you're younger than me and no offence, but you come across as really desperate and clingy."
You knew your words were harsh but you thought they'd actually have an effect this time. But they didn't affect Ensign Smith in any way.
"you're not looking at the situation properly. If you just let me take you on one date I can prove-"
"What do we have here?" You jumped as you heard the familiar voice of your close friend, the Captain, Jim Kirk, behind you.
He knew about Smith and his persistence in asking you out on a date. You gave Jim a weak smile and as you were about to say something Smith interrupted.
"I was just asking Y/N here out on a date." He said smugly.
"Oh really? Like the ten times you have before where she rejected you?"
The man was speechless and Jim smiled as he came to stand right beside you. "I was actually here to pick Y/N up for our date."
Your eyebrows raised in shock before he tagged a "Isn't that right Y/N" onto the end of his sentence.
You hesitated for a split second "yeah, sure, yeah."
Smith looked between the two of you. "She- you? Together?"
"That's right." He deadpanned and crossed his arms across his chest.
"Right. Well, good luck." The Ensign quickly spat out before rushing away.
You playfully nudged Jim "What the hell was that?"
"I was saving you."
"I don't need saving"
"Because you were doing such a great job at getting him to stop."
You gave him an angry look "I was getting somewhere."
Jim let out a small laugh as he looked at the floor before looking back up at you. His eyes found yours.
You couldn't help the smile that formed on your lips, looking away to try and hide it you realised his big mistake "Now everyone on this ship will think we're seeing each other."
He shrugged "What if we were."
You turned to stare at him "What?"
"Let's go on a date. For real, it's now or never and I've liked you for a long time now." He gently took your hand from where it'd been hanging "Smith just made me realise how much I actually liked you and how miserable I'd be if you dated anyone else without us giving things a go."
You couldn't deny that you wouldn't mind going on a date with Jim, he was one of your closest friends, you couldn't imagine a future without him in it.
"Sure." You smiled "but it better be the best first date ever known in the history of the universe."
He gave you his classic playful smile as his eyes sparkled "Anything Y/N. Anything."

We all stood around the lounge drinks in hand listening to the captain's toast. Everyone is so content; there is no danger, no major priorities, just here and now. Lt. Flores seems extra excited to hear the captain's speech. It's no secret how she feels about the captain, well a large sum of people on the ship feels toward him.
He is kind, handsome, respectful, brave, but I would not say what they are feeling is love. I would say that their love is more like lust. "So please, eat drink and please for the love of god enjoys yourselves." The captain ended with a clap from his adoring crew. Except I was so lost in thought that I forgot to clap.
The party proceeded, Dr. Mcoy was having a bickering session with one of the engineer boys. Spock was talking to the head nurse, and the captain well, he was flirting with Lt. Flores. Of course, he was flirting with Flores, I don't blame him of course she is pretty. Although not the nicest person on board. I don't think he is thinking of character though.
I try not getting jealous of Flores too much. Even though she gets everything. Even though she literally gets every man's attention. No, I don't want to be jealous. I want to be happy for her, I mean why shouldn't I be. Someone taps me on the shoulder interrupting my train of thought dead in its tracks.
It was a science officer I work with sometimes. His name is Mica, he is nice enough, not really my type. "May I have this dance?" He asked instantly, "sure." We walked toward the dance floor, he put his hands on my hips as I put mine on his for arms. It's not the most comfortable position but it's where he put them. I looked at my shoes, resisting the urge to look around.
I don't know why but it feels like there are a million eyes on me. We stayed there for a minute or two not saying anything. I was starting to get uncomfortable, it's not Mica's fault it's just that I was simply not comfortable getting swayed obnoxiously. Soon Mica stopped swaying me like I was rag doll. "You mind if I cut in officer?" My head shot up in shock, it as the captain. "Sure sir," and with that Mica left fast and head down. "Would you like a dance?" He asked lowly, I don't know what I should say honestly. If I say 'yes' then my feelings get amplified, and I'm screwed. If I say 'no' then he gets offended, and I'm screwed.
"Please? I promise I don't bite." I nod yes and he takes my hands and without hesitation puts them around his neck. He snakes his arms around my waist as he swayed my gently. As if I'll break if he does anything else. He looks into my eyes, and my heart was beating so fast a think he could feel it. With our chest gently touching, his lip starting to ghost my ear.
"You look ravishing." "Thank you, sir." "Y/n, please were off duty call me Jim. Sorry for taking you away from your date, it's just that you did not seem all that enthused." "Oh, he was not my date. He just asked me to dance." "How about you sir?" He gives me a pointed look. "I mean Jim." "I'm afraid not, the girl I have my eye on doesn't seem to notice." He Whispers dispiritedly in my ear. "Well sir I think your wrong." "Oh?" "Yes, Lt. Flores most certainly has her eyes on you."
He sadly chuckles lowering his head into my neck. With every breathe I swear my skin heats up even more. "You're a heart breaker, anyone ever tell you that?" I look over and see Flores glaring at me ever so slightly. "Not recently sir, go talk with Flores." "But -" "I'm getting tired anyway, have a nice night sir. See you tomorrow." With that I leave the captain on the dance floor.
It hurt to leave him with a woman who honestly hated me, but I could not keep dancing. I hate the idea of him being bored and just indulges himself with me. I head towards my quarters, but I get distracted by a nebula. I sat on the floor watching the beautiful hues of purples and yellows. Just being content with the moment. Trying to get my mind off of the captain. I have to he is the captain; I work on the bridge I see him every day. I can't let this affect my life no matter how hard.
"May I sit?" "Sir? Shouldn't you be inside?" "Probably but there is something much more gorgeous out here." "Yes, the nebula is terrific." He sits knowing I forgot to say if he could or not. The captain just sat there looing in-between me and the nebula. I kept my eyes on the natural art. Finally looking at him. His strong features scan mine. As he looks down at our hands barely touching each other's.
"What's wrong sir." "Y/n, the women I love walked away from me today. Now I feel like she will never love me the way I love her." He dead panned looking deep into my eyes once more. I could swear I saw tears edge those delicate eyes. "Sir, I'm so sorry; I know that this is a delicate question but who?" "Y/n, please this act has gone on long enough." "Act?" "Yes, it's just starting to hurt now." "Jim what are you talking about?" I ask grabbing his shoulder gently.
"You are pretending that you're oblivious." "Oblivious towards what?" "Towards the fact that I love you?" I sat there stunned. The man of my dreams just said that he loved me, and now I'm staring at him as if he has two heads. "Please say something." "I had no idea -" "Y/n-" "No, I had no idea. I thought you liked the Lt. Flores with the hair of gold, and the legs for days?" "When did I say that?" "I - well I kind of assumed. I would never in a thousand years think oh yeah the captain Kirk has a thing for me." "I don't have a thing for you. I Love you. Not Lt. Flores, sure she talked to me, but when I saw you with Mica I couldn't continue." "I don't want to be a toy captain." "Never." he said sternly, as if the idea of him using me was blasphemous. "I love you too." I said instantly leaning in closer.
He grabbed the sides of my face gently kissing me. Kissing me passionately. Leaving small kisses around my face. "Say it again." He asked breathlessly. "I love you" He smiled from ear to ear. "I love you; I am so sorry that I made you doubt that. I promise I'll spend eternity making it up."
Warnings - sad lovesick Kirk. Guilty reader. Fluff, Angst.
"Jim am I right when I say that Y/n L/n is my new second hand?" McCoy asked a little to excitedly rushing onto the bridge. Kirk looked at the doctor exasperated. Dreading what is coming. "Yes bones." "The Y/n L/n? Your Y/n?" Kirk looked down from him hating what he is about to say, "She's not mine bones you know that." "Who is Y/n" Spock asked turning in his chair expectantly.
"A woman I used to know; she has been transferred onto Enterprise." Mcoy scoffed, going to Spock leaning on his workstation. "Used to know please; they were engaged. She broke it off after they learned their stations." "Thank you, McCoy, don't you have a booboo to cure." Spock now naturally curious, "Why would you bring her onto the ship if you can't even talk about her?" "It wasn't my idea Mr. Spock now everyone back to your stations."
A few days went by, and Kirk was getting more anxious by the minute. When you broke things off was, he angry? Yes. Was he heartbroken? More than anyone would ever know. What got to him the most was that she never told him why. If she would have found another man, he would have been pissed. Overly pissed. He would have wanted to burn the world down, but if you were happy and he means truly happy he would have given you up.
But to his knowledge you were perfectly happy. So why? Why would you give up something so perfect. He never stopped loving you. He tried, God did he try but he knew in the back of his mind no women compared to you. The day finally came, and he made pleasantries with your old captain and retrieved and brought you to the ship. All the while you have not looked up at his eyes once. He only the other hand could not stop staring. The guilt you felt was extramental. You wanted to envelop him in a hug and a kiss telling him how sorry you were. You wanted to explain everything. You knew however that the damage has been done. It's too late.
He showed you around the ship, with a heavy heart. It was awkward, painful, and just not right the way you guys are now. You were supposed to be the only staple in his life and now he barely knows you.
"This is your quarters." "It's bigger than my old ships. Thank you, sir." There is it is 'sir' that is how you have been addressing him all day. he hated it. 'Sir' is something you say to the boss you hate. Not the man you love. He sighed saying his goodbye and leaving her to settle in.
They went their separate ways to their individual quarters both once they walked in and door closed. They broke down for the other. Guilt building for them both. Her guilt for her mistake, him for the fact that he pushed her away somehow.
The next day Y/n went to her shift tired from the night before. McCoy watched her in curiosity. The question on why you would break things of with their captain plagued his mind. He knew you just as well as he knew Kirk. You guys grew up together, you went to academy together. He knew how much you were in love with him. So why? "So why you do it?" He asked out of the blue. "Why did I do what?" "Don't play dumb Y/n, why did you break things off with Jim?" "Leonard, please can we not." "It just doesn't make sense. Was there another man?" "No of course not!" "Ok, then did he have another woman?" "No - I don't know, I don't think so. Why?" "No reason just the women throw themselves at him." "Women throw themselves at him?" "No."
Little did they know Jim was outside the door listening to them. He wanted to see her. Honestly, he was just going to go small talk with Bones so that way he could see you without seeing you. Then a knock came from the door frame. Jim stood there stoically; Y/n looked down. "May we have the room Bones?" "Sure, not like it's my med bay but go ahead have your squabbles." He left with a grumble, "Thank you" Jim called from down the hall. "Hi." He said coming across from her leaning against the examination bed. "Hi." She said not looking up.
"Y/n please look at me." She looked up with worried eyes. Her beautiful eyes that have lodged themselves into his memory. He has not looked into her eyes in so long. God did he miss them. "Why?" he asked simply in almost a pleading tone. Hell, he was pleading he was wondering this for years. He broke over this simple question he needs the answer. "Oh Jim, I'm sorry. I'm so unbelievably sorry." "Please - Please Y/n just tell me." His voice breaking, tears etched his eyes as if threats to fall. "I'm a coward, that's why. I, I thought if you and I would get married it all would have fallen apart somehow. So, I just beat time to it."
"Why, why on God's green Earth would you think that!?" "Because Jim you are the most handsome man I have ever met. I knew that you would go to these planets and women would be just jumping at the chance. I knew that you would go on these missions, and you would have been getting hurt and what if you would have ended up on my operating table. Huh?" "She sobbed looking away. He came up and held her by the shoulders, shaking her lightly just emphasize what he was saying. "You should have had faith, faith in the man that loved you. Faith in the man that loves you."
"Jim I'm so sorry I loved you. I have always loved you. I was so scared. I don't expect you to forgive me. If you have another woman now, I will completely understand. I know you're not mine anymore Jim. I just want you to be happy." His hand travelled from her shoulders down her arms lightly giving her tingles. they have not been in each other's arms in so long. So long. He brought her arms up to his neck where they stayed. He leaned in closer looking down at the beautiful girl that took away his breath. wrapping his arms around her waist. never breaking eye contact.
"Y/n there is no other women, there never was, there never will be. I love you I always loved you. I want you. Please Y/n say you want me back." He whispered leaning his forehead on hers. "I love you" she whispered, "but you don't deserve me. You're too good." She whispered back. "But I need you. Please my dear put your worries aside." He leaned down connecting their lips in a starved kiss. A kiss that they waited to have again. A kiss that put the others to shame. An addicting, starved, hungry kiss.
