Spidey’s Strength

So, most of you have seen the post explaining that Peter Parker can lift up to 10 tons in canon. It used this very same screenshot:

Well, something along the lines of it, this is one I took myself.

Now, some of you may also know that I commented on it, saying what I learned according to screwattack’s death battle statistics. Spidey can lift up to 78 tons, according to their research.

Which, yeah, 78 tons is, well, a fuck ton. For lack of a better word.

“So what’s this got to do with anything?”

You might ask.

It’s simple, I was so, so very wrong.

Spidey can lift so much more than that.

In fact, Peter can lift up to 1,600 tons on each arm.

Because the ship that Peter held together in Spider-Man: Homecoming, is a real live ship that weighs 3,200 tons.

That’s roughly 45,390 times his body weight, if we’re going by Tom Holland’s supposed actual body weight of 141 lbs.

Which is absolutely ridiculous put into perspective. Especially considering real-live spiders can only lift up to 50 times their body weight.

This also confirms that yes, Peter is several times stronger than Steve Rogers, and Peter can most definitely YEET Hulk, Thor, and Thanos across the battlefield.

So this concludes my rant that Peter Benjamin Parker is one Strong Fucking Boi.

I made this in late August this year for Seriefrämjandets yearly contest. The topic was comics for young people… and guess what, I actually won! 

En serie med otroligt bra känsla för karaktärer, med god känsla för hur utseende och subkulturer betyder i ungdomens sökande efter en identitet. En serie som man ser på första anblick har hjärta, och som subtilt pekar på ämnen som andra skulle göra till huvudpoängen i historien. Som en liten bonus får vi en tjej i huvudrollen som känns levande och som man känner starkt inför.

I’m incredibly surprised, happy and grateful to have won. Since it got so much praise, I figured I should post it here. Thanks to Keetande for helping me with the tricky translation!
