Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
Best customer I’ve ever had was when some rich white cape cod lady in a floor length fur coat came into my store and asked her daughters what sweated pants were and how to wear them and her daughters kept trying to explain what sweat pants were to her and she was completely and utterly flummoxed by them
She asked if sweat pants are bisexual and her daughter was like “unisex?” and she was like “sure”
Ant-Man
One of my first cosplays, made this back in 2015 for the movie release, I'd just moved to the States and was in the middle of doing my gap year
Now this, this was my first cosplay ever. I watched Captain America: The First Avenger on a family trip back in 2011, and I just thought he was the coolest damn hero on screen. So when The Avengers released in 2012, I made this very, very ah, crude costume by painting a blue T-shirt and making an incredibly flat shield out of a piece of cardboard (I disassembled a standing fan so I could trace the covering to get that circle).
It's very rough, very apparent that it's my first, but I also really appreciate it, especially seeing the difference between this and where my work has developed to today. (Thank you to mom for sewing that mask)
Batman - Made this as my costume for my first year participating in a dorm event in college, the Cardboard Duct tape Battle. Overall I based the helmet and armor off of the Power Armor suit in Batman V Superman
Gotta say it's definitely an upgrade from the previous attempt from 2012
I made the shield and helmet back in 2017, can't remember when I got that Jacket but I think it was pretty close, and honestly I really love how that Shield turned out. Kept it for a pretty long time after making it, ended up giving it to a friend back in 2020 when everyone was being sent home.
An old Season 1 Daredevil cosplay I did back in,,, 2017 I think? I found the material for the mask in our costume departments scrap fabric pile and worked around that.
Shout out to my RD for a) letting me do a photo shoot on our dorm's roof, b) getting me a ladder to get to the roof, and c) being my photog
2018 - Black Panther helmet
I made this for a friend for the Infinity War premier, I like how it turned out, I like the paint, I think I did pretty well for this being before I started using stencils and painter's tape for detailing
2018 - The Cardboard Duct Tape Battle - Darth Maul
Had this as a necklace piece for over a decade now, I'm sad it broke like this but I'm sure sandstone isn't really meant to be pendant material
Gonna look into getting a metallic border around it to keep it in place, we'll see
2018 Halloween - Red Hood
This was a really fun one! I was obsessed with Under the Red Hood at the time and had so much fun making that helmet. In retrospect I cold have worked more on the overall shape of the helmet but I still liked the end result. LED strips in the eyes to make them glow, and a Domino mask underneath
2019 - Cardboard Duct tape Battle, Ant-Man
Genuinely I think this is one of the best things I've ever made. Took about a full year and that PEZ Dispenser weighed a TON
couldn't fight with it super well, mostly I could lift it up and hope gravity does the rest
The Hello Kitty head ALSO is designed to be a helmet, it's fitted on the inside and that little panel on the front slides to the side so you can see out of it
Halloween 2019 - Slade
The armor looks a little goofy but I really like how the mask turned out! I still have it hanging on my wall
